Happy Homesteading & Pottery Works

Happy Homesteading & Pottery Works

Friends, thank you so much for being here with us on this journey called life.

We are Matt & Molly and live an interesting and fun (at least to us 😂) life in the woods of New Hampshire, USA.

We left the hustle and bustle in MA in 2017 to live a quieter life & become debt free, which we have accomplished after years of being in the rat race! Matt built our home with his very own hands and continues to expand the homestead as we grow and evolve.

Molly loves to make pottery and teach ceramics in her spare time, although real estate has been her main gig for almost 20 years. She has always had the entrepreneurial spirit and loves people.

Matt does SO many things like construction, gardening, bee keeping, and even bracelet making! He’s passionate about balancing this modern day life with some of the more wholesome older ways of living. We both have a ton of fun growing and preserving lots of our own food. Also, tending to our chickens, ducks, parrot, and our pack of 6 amazing dogs!

What do I think? I say it's a success! Summer in NH-- memories of raising my family: the lilac, my gardens, orchards, Concord CC and then the fall canning and the incense of autumn. Idyllic!

Great pottery. The bowl was beautiful especially the inside, I couldn’t see any crawling. But you need to “hold still” so the viewer can see the beautiful glazes you work so hard on. You always give me a reason to buy new glazes! Thank you for sharing! What brand of speckled buff is that? I have been using Laguna’s and it doesn’t look that good unglazed or just with clear. So I use Laguna speckled buff number 60 I think it is. You know what?! I started to notice like a year ago that pearl white looked way different than it used to on that clay body. After doing research, I found out that Laguna changed their supplier for the speckled buff so it’s a different recipe! It might still be on their website. Like this newer version is lighter in color and seems to have more grog or different grog. The old kind was darker and richer in color. So it’s not just you 😝 Glazes 😂 they are never ending!!!
