The Wall titans are simply enormous things created to form the wall. They are even more mindless than Pure titans, not having been transformed from Eldians, but just created. The Colossal Titan is special because it intelligent, can create an explosion upon transforming, and can control which part of its body turns into emitted steam.

I would recommend rewatching the show with the Blu-ray episodes at some point. It has general visual improvements, and this is one of the most improved episodes.

Such an insane episode... Btw only the armoured titan has the power to transfer consciousness. An explanation for why Zeke, instead of Eren, has control over Ymir: Basically it's because he is an Intelligent titan with royal blood as opposed to Dina, a Pure titan with royal blood. Eren had assumed that he would gain the Founder's power the same way he did at the end of S2, but that time he only got the power because Dina didn't have the consciousness to make use of it. You only enter the Paths realm if you have royal blood and make use of the Founding's power, which is why Eren didn't go there at the end of S2. I assume Zeke made use of the power to call Eren there too, after setting up the situation so he could trick Eren once he arrived.

Yeah Zeke needed the high vantage point so he can continue to throw rocks at Reiner and Galliard as they try to get Eren (who is weakened). Also Yelena made that crazy angry face because 2 episodes ago Armin fake cried, pretending to agree with Zeke's plan. So when he says "we have no choice but to help Eren" it shows her he was lying.

Glad you got to see the inro & outro! Judgement is one of my favorite episodes of the series. Arguably 3 more of the best are coming in 19,20, & 21!

It is indeed cgi for most of the scenes with titans. They have an amazing cgi dept, and this part of the season had slightly more time to animate than Part 1 (still not a great schedule, but better), so they have improved how the cgi models blend into scenes. Part 3 does have a good schedule so there it looks even better (along with the regular animation looking great)

The reason Pieck was trying to ask Eren about Zeke's secrets is because Marley doesn't know whether he has royal blood. They know very little about how titan powers work, which is why they have designated "Titan researchers" like Mr Ksaver. They also don't know that a Titan of royal blood is what's needed to unlock the founder's power.

Absurdly good episode, definitely in my top 10 in the whole show. The music and voice acting in the entire Niccolo sequence makes me cry every time. And Sasha's dad is unbelievably goated, an amazing side character despite how little screen time he has had.

Your theory of Raven's connection to Yang being their gateway never occurred to me man, even after my own watching and re-watching tons of reactions. It was always a possibility if Raven ever re-appeared! Late, but you got a sub my dude. I have always questioned who she teleported to, Vernal is possibly the only other connection she has. But it could go deeper.

Mikasa's wrist was wrapped up every time we saw it in the manga, but not in the anime (until now). In S1 ep6 with Mikasa's backstory, her mom was showing her an embroidery method and told her to pass it down to her kids. In the manga it was the tattoo instead. Wit studio changed it back then, not knowing it would become a relevant plot point.

Reiner’s transformation was weakened/incomplete. Hence the flayed/partially armored body. You are unfortunately absolutely right about Eren having created a new monster. Not only that , but he dragged the scouts into a war they did not agree to begin. *** another fun fact: the Ed Theme song for season 4 part one is called Shock.

Devastating episode.. 5:02 Jean did listen to Sasha, and so he told the others to quiet down. In a way it was the fault of the people shouting "victory", happy about the battle, that led to her death. I do think most blame is on Eren though. We don't know the exact reason yet, but he did force all the scouts to enter a deadly situation to get him out of Marley.

regarding Basho(Poet Guy) powers in the hunterpedia, he have to write a poem on the fly afaik the structure, the rhyme, and literally using both or his 1 hand to write it while in a nen fight is insane imo

Grisha never lost his memories. That was a lie he told Keith to get into the walls & avoid suspicion. Years later, he went before the Royal family to beg for their help in fighting against Marley’s invading Titan Warriors. Frieda, the holder of the Founding Titan, was overtaken by the Vow & refused Grisha. Grisha then transformed & proceeded to defeat Frieda’s Founding Titan , eat her, & slaughter the Royal Family. All But Rod Reiss.

As I said multiple times in the video though, it's wildly impressive that they got this running on PS4. Sucker Punch had some dark magic going on or something. Especially with their load times after dying.

Hey bit off topic, but since you are downloading and watching rezero offline, I can provide you best release for rezero (i can provide torrent or gdrive for it), it is basically bluray with fan subs which are better than the official subs you are currently using which actually bit lots of translations errors in season 2 and has typesetting for signs,etc. Plus you are currently watching web version and by default bluray will be better. I don't know where to contact you since i can't DM you on patreon (i think it's for memebers only), Do you have discord or something? i can do the same for other shows like JJK,etc that you are watching.

11:40 , though not clear in the anime , it was clearly mentioned in novels that during first few loops, Subaru memory was hazy after death hence it took him so long to realise that he can return by death

Oh wow, that actually clears things up a bit! (No pun intended on "clearing" lol.) Kind of odd they didn't include that information here. Though, I've seen plenty of other series that have left out far more important details. Just seemed kind of odd he wasn't catching on at first!
