Welcome to Subterranean Exploration, SubExploration or SubEx for short. We are explorers with a primary interest in underground places but will pretty much explore anything of interest. Places such as tunnels, bunkers, forts, underground facilities and complexes, abandoned buildings, mines and disused military places ranging from Napoleonic times to the present day.
Please note that at no time do we break into any location. At worst we will jump a fence or two.

This Fort is similar to Fort Nelson, most likely this fort is one of the Palmerston Forts.
Wheres all the vids …? Been a while
The sheave tension tunnel you saw marked on control panel was probably referring to a shaft full of cables and pulleys that controlled movement of lift/platform through different levels. Great video👍
i have found where you were , i have very old pre war documents that disclose where these tunnels are such the streets areas and the rail stations I also have where all the bunkers are placed in areas I can also tell you that one tunnel is in a park where children play.if any one would like a print out of the detailed map of all the area with roads streets areas just let me know, this detailed map has the military with the year,I have all of the evidence as to where people entered,I do have close to 80 maps and bunks, you can also find this information in old army books of areas
Please can I have a copy. My partner and I love bunkers and abandoned building’s… this would be amazing 😊can you inbox me
Did they ever fill it?
Nice atmospheric video
Mondial
What's the smell like?
Recommend wearing headphones for all Subex’s videos
Too be fair I recognised my editing issues a couple of years back. Newer vids have better volume 👌
@@SubExploration Definitely mate 👌
@@SubExploration Still prefer headphones, though. Atmospheric 👍
It was most probably a gents toilet, ladies didn’t get that luxury in those’d times, it was a very male dominated time. It might have changed in later years, there are one at the top of church street near the bus stop just a gents,
What's your back yard, yegh know? What's **your** back yard?
That alarm what a cup of hot tea please
why couldnt you show the sign that was pointing towards Wales ?
Location. This is nowhere near Wales and would not disclose anything 👍
I remember going in those toilets in the 60s..the glass square ceiling ..was walked over up top ..That was a flash back
Great example of a sally port it even has the weights and two sets of doors that can be barred to further delay enemy from entering.
Went here sat, bloody hell it is the sketchiest place i have ever been in! I literally ran round the shelter, couldnt wait to get out, im.sure there are more broken sleepers now than in your video, and to top it off it was so windy so the cliff walk was not fun either 😬
Since it's been 2 years, and it's been secured now, Where is it? I have no interest in going there, and the little pikey scroats with spray cans, won't get in. It won't be a problem. You know where it is, I'd like to too please.
I have used those many times as a youngster there were 2 separate men and ladies loo's 1d to use the ladies, 2x separate entrances to them.
Been a long time since I caught a video of yours, life been hitting me hard plus KZread NEVER tells me when you got a new one…been years I think…if that tells you anything. One of my favorite bex channels, last o e I saw was you doing backyard Covid videos…glad that’s past and gone cheers.
Great work as always you're camera lady did an awesome job I hope you payed her well
The London Underground was and still is excellently built. Great engineering feat. 🥇🥉🏆🏅🥈
Hi, it makes you wonder how effective these miles of underground tunnels and living and working spaces for obviously military purposes would have actually been in a nuclear war type scenario - because those air shafts don't seem to have had any kind of Filtration or Baffle systems installed to prevent radiation contaminated surface air from getting into those tunnels and therefore eventually killing everyone below. Clearly, all the deep underground bunkers and all those vast tunnel systems the Germans had during WW2 didn't stop them from being defeated - eventually. So an awful lot of man hours and in the case of the German underground complexes - huge numbers of slave labour from various prison camps over an untold number of years to build all those massive coastal defenses and tunnelling everywhere with vast amounts of concrete and steel, electrical wiring and lots of machinery going into the construction - that in the End - proved useless.🤨🤔🙃
It still amazes me how much remains beneath our feet, and how much of it remains to be explored! Hope your 2024 is shaping up to be a good one -- Cheers!

Don't disturb Smaug!
All these tunnels are likely to be operational after conscription
“Erm…..I think thats an alarm” *famous last words*
Ashame that all that sq footage is going to waste.
Arming, please leave now! Please enter your pin code now!
If there is an alarm system, there’s probably also security personnel and security cameras on the premises. Be lucky you don’t go to jail. Be lucky if it’s just a citation for trespassing
Are there any other hidden tunnels around Dover?
Ehh mate that was epic, looked so steep going on in with my sense of direction id be turned around so easy , good sh#t mate :)
