This is garbage, I use it today and it doesn't work. sprinkle the paint with paint chips

I’ve been using this product for a while now and it’s great. One thing is they forgot to leave out probably one of the most important thing on the instructions and that to cover the tip to prime it. Took me 2 cans and a KZread vid to figure it out and get it dialed. But once I got it going it works great 👍🏽 👍🏽
I’ve only had success with automotive clear coat and other house interior exterior , forget about it you’re end up getting nothing and continue to thin til your basically spraying thinner no paint I really wanted this product to work but I’ve tried numerous batchs with no success

If you’re not supposed to point the sprayer beyond a certain degree, can you use the sprayer to paint the roof of a car?
Sorry but it was not a great result "for me". Yes it was better than looking at the scratch. But no it was not of a quality that I would have had to achieve when i was a painter through the 80s & 90s. Best i could say is that you tidied it up.
Why hasn't Preval ever come out with a fan spray tip?
I like the idea & effort…. but if I’m the marketing folks for this company there is so much more that could be done to help the consumer.. This is a great concept ✌🏼
Look at all the streaks they are getting while painting, with all those streaks I’m pretty sure that you can only paint solid colors and I don’t believe that this spray can could handle 2k clear.
I like to pre-lubricate my system with water first before the shot also release some of the pressure for about 5 seconds from the new can can you guys make some sort of a cheap trigger system that would be sweet or different orifice caps that would be sweet
Garbage product
For touching up walls after spackling and sanding, using latex pain (3 parts paint : 1 part water), will I get a nice even, smooth finish without orange-peel effect? Any specific tips? Thanks so much!

I have painted several car bumper covers & fenders with Preval. All turned out well. But those were not latex paint so we'll see how my first project with latex turns out! Update, sprayed a toy train with PPG latex formulated at Menards and it turned out pretty good. You do have to put it down pretty thick, but I am happy with the results! Thanks Preval!
for the thinner automotive paints....did you take out the filter at the tip of leave it in? thanks

I tried this twice but it doesn't even work...
I bought one of these basically for latex paint you have to turn it into water or it doesn't spray it sprays intermittently and then plugs up and if you tip the gun a little too much of an angle it won't spray so if you if you have a little door a little cabinet door and you're laying it down and trying to spray it it doesn't work this thing's basically useless

This answered all my questions except 1. When I finish fixing a spot I need to touch up, do I need to dump the paint and clean the unit or can I simply cap the unit for later use?
You can cap the jar. I've used these with great success spraying tinted shellac. It's nice to be able to save my mix for the next spray.
To explain the other parts - when working with latex and thinning it - use clean water, and add water SLOWLY IN SMALL AMOUNTS, mix and repeat if needed until the paint is properly thinned. To verify the paint is thinned enough, put a paint stirring stick in the paint you want to use, then lift up out of the paint so that it runs off the stick into the container the paint is in. (About 2 inches away from the surface.) Take the stick and move it in a circle so that the paint that is running off goes in the paint in a circular pattern trail. From when the paint dripping down to make the circle trail to when you no longer see the circle trail (It fades into the paint) is no longer than 2 seconds. Make sure the filter cap is off the pickup hose.

I think it would be a great idea if you give a better explanation....ie...WHAT THE HELL is back flushing, non of which is said in any sort on the directions....have done three of these with never a good turn out...ALSO, another person has said that the units come with an over charge , that actually has caused most of my issues with splatting out shit to cause many hours of repair due to your inept ability to have better directions up front..........Directions say nothing about any of the above.....! :) Confusing at best....BAD BOOGY ! :{{

i'm confused about the "trail." are you talking about the stream coming off the stick, or are you talking about how long it takes to sink back into the paint?
Can you please advise what is the best way to thin high quality latex paint for this sprayer? Water, paint thinner, etc
Water for latex paint. Paint thinner is for oil based paint.
Everything you airbrush is highly atomized............ALWAYS wear a respirator.
Do you recall what psi you were at? It looked to be spraying very well?
