Would a 2wd be able to do this road
The road through the Valley of the Gods is a graded gravel and clay surface road. If the weather is dry, most 2WD vehicles can handle the road. Actually, It is suitable for passenger cars when the road conditions are dry. We drove the road several times, both with 2WD and 4WD. However, road conditions vary throughout the year with regional weather conditions. Local inquiry should be made during and after periods of inclement weather.

@@WorldofDrives Thanks...I've seen at least part of a YT video on that location...per the BLM website, I don't yet see a dispersed camping option there - but I can still enjoy seeing it...blessings😊
You are indeed correct that you don’t see an actual dispersed camping option in the Valley of the Gods. However, we must say that there are dozens of camping spots along the 17-mile dirt road that come quite close to ‘dispersed’.
