As you walk thru the market it brings back the smells as if I was walking thru it myself. The itchy throat is from the Kalo leaves

Malo I love the black sand beaches. They have a really nice one over on Savai'i as well. You guys should really take the boat over there and go check out the underground caves out there. Much Alofas for sharing your journey of Samoa with us all stuck on the mainland. We used to live at the head of state office/home on the Robert Louis Stevenson plot. We used to live there long before they remodeled it for a museum. I was lucky enough to sit at his writing desk in his room, as well as play on his billiard table.

When I was a kid in Samoa we used to love swimming at Palolo. I used to hate the fish that would nip at your ankles and feet. I still remember all the hermit crabs were everywhere on the beach thousands of them everywhere!! You used to be able to swim out to the island out there but it was covered in really sharp and jagged shells.

That was nice to know this place was named after their grandmother because this whole time I thought they decided to name it The Wine because that's the literal translation in English lol If you can go check out Namua Island it's located in the Aleipata area
