I’m starting with what we have in the house. Not going shopping until I can get rid of most of what’s here.
I’m just getting started with reselling. I’m on EBay and Nic Nax. I’m still working in corporate America as my main income and health insurance. I would love to do reselling full time. I had my own business in the past but got sick.
The clover is iconic Van Cleef and Arpel. It's a higher end brand and they mostly sell clover shaped jewelry
We love selling on eBay, however the AI there just needs a little something more. As for me, it lumped everything into one paragraph. I also depend on a clean layout and bullet points. Maybe like some AI programs, it might need to learn our patterns.
It can’t detect beryllium treatment I suppose
This was very helpful! Thank You! I have been dabbling in making all sorts of different jewelry over the last 20+ years and recently just want to stick to natural stones, just as a personal preference. I am OVERWHELMED trying to purchase affordable stones that are also unique on Etsy for the most part. I feel like I’m getting scammed the whole time to be honest! But man some are so pretty I almost don’t care! The problem with that is I still want to know what I’m working with ESPECIALLY if I’m going to gift it to someone. I’ve also considered selling here and there at fairs and absolutely don’t want to overprice something fake even though I paid more for it. I take pride in my work no matter how small and I surely won’t gift or sell something I know nothing about. Anyway, I appreciate the video and resources you shared, thanks again❣️☮️💟
Being a new reseller, I appreciate all the wonderful tips and ideas you share on how to do things, like packing for shipping!
I just received an unhinged ebay mail from a reseller who claims to be in business for 40 years reselling antiques and took the time to send me a 3 paragraph mail bashing the AI generated description of the item. lmao What kind of person has that much time on their hands??? 😂 Reported and blocked them.
Ugh people, you bought it at a garage sale, not Macys lol people are crazy. Sometimes we score and make a huge profit, sometimes not so much. People are crazy.
You passed up a white century collection Hummel at the first store. ACK!
Ruler or tape measure maybe?
Great video, really enjoyed. I be back and check the other videos.. I love stones. ❤
Hi, I’ve learned a great deal on how to list on EBay from your videos. I’ve had a store for about a year, and last week I found out we’re charged $2 for adding a Subtitle! Not sure if this is pertinent to most folks, but if you haven’t mentioned it before, might be worth bringing up. Kinda upsetting as I was caught unawares. I have started promoting with the 2% minimum you noted a while back, thank you for letting us know that’s something that can be modified!
Do you use USPS priority boxes?
Nice information video! Dichroic is melted layers of different colored glass.
Please do a video regarding which postage to use!
Thank you for this great information that is sorely needed!
Is the owl available
I just had a glass cake pedestal smash and had to give a 100% refund. How would you have packed that? It was about 12” across and 5” high. I did 3 layers of 1/2 inch bubble wrap, padded around it with bags and marked as fragile! It broke still! Would love you thoughts.
Anything breakable, especially anything with a stem or protruding parts, I would bubble wrap until the item is unrecognizable, put in a box with padding all the way around. Make sure that box is full of padding, then put it in another box full of padding all the way around. Get it to where you can throw it off of a roof. If you have one inch styrofoam available that works great for cushion between boxes, used bubble wrap, or packing paper. You want no movement of the item inside the box when you shake it.
Tip, when shopping 🛍 for jewelry at a thrift store, bring a magnet 🧲. Unwary cashiers usually don't know that they're selling actual gold jewelry for cheap. Gold does not stick to a magnet. Cheap jewelry ✨️ often will. Ya could make a lot of money 💰 by doing this. Just subbed!! Your friend, Jeff!!
Thank you for making this informative how to ship video. I was wondering if you could do a next step video of the input on ebay site with how & what to type in your ( mine) account to the end where the shipping label is ready to stick onto a package.
Nice demonstration!
how do you know what to charge for shipping if you dont know what packaging your using until the item sells?
This subject would make a great video!
I also have cut boxes down to help decrease shipping, esp. if its not a breakable item.
Yes, I saw a YT’ber cut down boxes to cut the cost by using a tool that makes little holes (sorry, Idk the name of it), then scissors.
I would have sent the boxed ornament in a bubble maler, wrap in 1 layer bubble, viola!
Could you have shoved a couple of straws in the tea kettle spout, then tape to keep in place?
I enjoy you taking us along on your yard sale adventures. Also, I think you are quite good at editing. Keep up the good work. 😊
Don't you have to know the box measurements and weight before hand? Otherwise how do you know how much to charge for shipping? Sorry if this came through twice. Thank you
Don't you have to have the box dimensions and weight before hand? Otherwise how do you calculate your shipping?
I did guesstimate the weight pretty well, then eBay asks for the dimensions once sold. I now try not to do that tho.
Love the Tardis box😄
Sometimes, I'll wrap cardboard around a small flatish box and ship in a bubble mailer. It's good to know how to frankenbox but it may increase the weight and shipping cost. Having the right packing materials available can be a challenge, especially for everything sellers like us!
New subscriber here from the UK. Loving your content 👍
😊
I am a beginner. I know EBay typically assigns a weight and box size when I list an item. Do you go back in when you are boxing for shipping and change it to what you are actually sending and the weight? When you do that does EBay change the amount of the charge for the shipping label? Thanks for the video Margaret. I had never heard of Frankenboxes.😅
I was wondering about this as well
Thank you for taking your time to show us how you ship items.
Helpful video! Thanks. Have someone tell you you look like beautiful Gloria Stefan singer? U do!!
Hey ✅ Me Out... 😎
😊🥰
I liked and shared and I'm happy for your success.
Liked, shared and subbed,I was born in Ft Worth Texas in 1975,Love your channel!
that did not help.
I gave up on mugs, no one wants to pay over $5.
Second time I'm watching your video. This is one of your best videos. I've been following you for a little over a year. I've been reselling for a little over a year also and it is tough. I finally quit my full-time job and went full-time reselling and I'm now investing in a storage unit yikes lol. I'm hoping to continue growing and in a year have doubled my income from when I started. I was also a single mom of three, two with special needs, now all grown and navigating my way out of a toxic relationship. I live in a three-level house with lots of space but having my items in a separate space will really help me stay organized and focus on sourcing and listing. Thank you so much for all of your advice and videos. You're a lovely person and I wish you much continued success.
I adore you. You just feel like an old friend it’s been years but if I was near you I would just adore being a pal:)
I homeschooled my 3 children from K to 12th grade...I know how hard that can be!
Love your story, personality. You're really real and relatable. I can sympathize the struggles of life as well as reselling. Money is tight sometimes. Lord help us all. Keep making videos.
What makes a good mug to buy?
Always trust your gut. Something wasn't right there. So glad you listened.
Quick question: On the glasses ....do you take out the glass part before you send them out...since you are just selling the frames?
