It's just a matter of getting used to different DAW, Cubase is way more powerful than S1 in every aspect
I’m sorry about your 828es - we want to help! If you haven’t already, get in touch with us through your MOTU account - I’m sure we can get this unit repaired for you in no time
Wow thanks that would be so amazing.
Thought you were team presonus 😅 what you think of the quantum's ?
I still love presonus, but I was missing some of the creative tools with Cubase. I think the quantum's are dope, I do wish they were like the older ones with DSP though.
Go RME never go back. Antelope driver issues, rme supported still 20 years later on every platform.
Just a quick update letting yall know that i had a issue with my audio interface. Once I'm back up and runnimg, I'll have some great content up for yall.
I’ve only ever used Cubase. As I understand it’s definitely the creators DAW
If you think these features are great, wait till you learn the rest...these aren't even the main strengths of Cubase 👀And yes, the Sampler Track got some good upgrades in Cubase 13. Welcome to the Cubase fam! It truly is the goat, the best DAW for everyday overall composing and production.
💯💯💯
Let's agree to disagree.
Damn I started a month ago using fl studio and I dont find a good vid explaining how to use metronome now all its clear nice content greats from spain dude, new sub
Use ur own creativity ,,samples and loops are cheating anyway u spin it
I don't think it's cheating, I think sometimes it forces you to be more creative at times
I like studio one for pre production then mix in pro tools
I used Cubase for a long time, now I work more in S1. Steinberg always comes up with a great thing, but doesn't follow through, a typical example is articulation switching, which has been working kind of half-assed for many years. S1 copied a lot of things from Cubase, but simplified them and took them further. However, it is true that I miss the sampler track in S1.
studio on auto plays sounds
Maybe I missed the setting, I always had to manually play
More cubase content! You will love more cubase ones you descover the midi inserts in the instruments or sampler tracks also the piano roll have a lot of dope features
Preciate the vid there’s not a lot of KZread cubase content in our domain. From people who are dope
No problem I have a lot more coming
Since I moved from s1 i missed the note repeat on my atom . This plugin helps kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4Vm3MuynNyplNY.htmlsi=p_oCku4oM0XvDxtY
Cubase seems to be good on cpu efficiency too, I'm considering using it for mixing
Come on, you're not telling the truth. First, the EQ: the pro EQ has eq, compression, gate, and limiter. You can make up your own mixed setup with other software and drag them over as a bundle. Studio One has a large meter, too. media Bay: That's a lie, it doesn't add anything to the loops you are listening to from there. It's dry, and you can have it play the samples when you click on it or set it to play only when you click on play. There is a volume setting on it. Your choice. Studio One has an export stems, mix down, and a mastering software. And going back to the loops. They have wet loops and dry loops. There is no DSP being used when listening to samples. I get it. If you prefer Cubase, that's fine. But to not show us on the Studio One software what you are talking about because it's a lie is just wrong. Enjoy Cubase and have fun. And by the way, you can pay for Studio One and own it for 399.99. Just like you can pay for Cubase 579.99. 😊
I'll try to record a video showing you some of the things I'm explaining. Like studio one has a meter as a vst, but not fixed like Cubase. And the media Bay in studio One does add in the effects that are on the mix bus, I'm not sure if you can disable it but it didn't work for me.
Cubase is easily the better DAW. PreSonus has had, generally, easily the better Marketing department. Steinberg leaning into the composition/scoring crowd actually hurt them because this can give the impression that the DAW is only for those within a certain market segment, when Cubase is actually [almost certainly] the best general purpose DAW on teh market. Digital Performer has this same issue, even though it's actually a fantastic Engineering DAW.
Cubase is looping them these days
I also left S1 after 6 a But I moved back to logic.
For me am still trying to get the easy use of Cubase I got to it now and then but go back to studio one. The zoom and the audio wave looks better
Go where you can get the most productivity.
💯
Yea Studio One Most Definitely need A Sampler Track Type Function. IMpact Xt and Sample One aint cutting it man. Its like they are only catering to Mixing and Nashville Musicians.
Have you gone in depth with those two (Sample One and Impact XT)? I'm a huge Cubase and Studio One user, though. I made my own sound on both and it sounded great. They have knobs, faders... you just got to be patient. For me, Cubase, Studio One and REASON are THE BEST DAW in the market.
Cubase is just all-around better than S1.
Their VST's are lacking significantly, but the moment they introduce something new, we have to subscribe to a monthly membership for access is simply incredible.
Welcome!
Awesome! In my humble opinion, Cubase is the best DAW out there hands down! I love it!
Hold up.. I have to ask the question. Why do producer pay a monthly fee when you already bought the DAW. do the math. Daw only cost like 200 to 500. Monthly fee for a year. You already paid for it three times or more. "per·pet·u·al" adjective 1.never ending or changing.
thats the issue with that, u never really own it
@@GotBettaBeats hold up.. I pay full amount. I own it, don't need to be online to use it. I can take it anywhere. Turn it on and turn it off. It's mine to do what ever. I would never and I mean never buy into that.
I left Studio One after version 5 after I realized that their company has become predatory. Switched back to Logic tho and haven't looked back since!
Been using Cubase since Cubase VST and it’s been my daw of choice no matter what came out or was popular including Pro Tools… My biggest turn off for me was the price point Cubase has… To spend over $300 for simple features like exporting stems is ridiculous… Love the fact that Studio One gives you ALL the basics for $100!!!
Yea, I understand that. But S1 is $399 for the pro version and they don't let you use 3rd party plugins with the lower version in studio One
You can use 3rd party VST’s with Studio One Artist which is $100
@@bigdazz8951 ok I remember with the older version you couldn't. thanks that may be a way to always be able to open my sessions in S1
Just subscribed for your upcoming cubase content. 🎹♥️
I watched the whole video and I really appreciate it. Not much of it applies to me, but for up-and-comers, this is vital info that’s not often talked about. I just think that’s great, thank you my brother. 🎹♥️
💯💯💯
So… I guess by your own logic, we shouldn’t listen to this😅, just kidding. Very good points that many need to hear. 🎹♥️
💯💯💯
It’s kinda like having a girlfriend/boyfriend do something that makes you feel, “I don’t see a long future with this person, might as well get out of it now while we’re still friends and make myself happy. 🎹♥️
To force a subscription for the new synth is indeed an unforgiveable mistake by Presonus.
Abso-tively. It’s one of the reasons they’ve chased me away. 🎹♥️
I'm 100 percent sure that decision wasn't anyone from presonus . A certain guitar maker is really throwing it down the grid
@@user-xj8yl2dh4p I definitely believe that. 🎹♥️
Are you saying that Cubase is better than Studio One?
Not better, but Im not liking where the company is headed with the subscription or pay-to-play model.
That’s a tough question to answer. It really is a matter of preference. Cubase has many of the things I prefer, & some I didn’t even know I wanted/needed. The subscription thing is what chased me away from s1. 🎹♥️
Cubase is so hard to use.
I'll do a setup video soon
So all other videos are basically ST ONE and now F ST ONE ? Because of few minor differences Hmm 🤔
It's not forget studio one, I still enjoy S1 but I'm not feeling the direction they are are headed with the subscription service. So I started back using another DAW I thought was great for production and mixing.
@@GotBettaBeats 🍻🍻
@@GotBettaBeats I work in REASON limitations or not : got to stick to one and Master it .. But I do admit to BITWIG tempting me more and more : cheers 🥂
Congrats on your move . I’m a longtime Cubase user. As far as midi production is concerned,IMO, Cubase is and has always been The Daddy.
I used Cubase years ago. It's finally starting to look a little easier on the eyes.I've installed and uninstalled it 2 or 3 times this year already. I'll give it another go this year when I get a second to slow down.
Cubase also uses “ALL” Performance and Efficiency cores on M1 Macs. Studio One does look better though.
👌🏿🔥🔥🔥
I gonna follow you now, no reason that I follow S1 user if I use C13 😊
We must boycott these daw subscription service you end up spending more money in the long run for a product that you don't own and hold you music production hostage
I did some calculating.. (not that i am for a subscription model) A perpetual license is 399,- on their website, and all the addons combined is around 700,-.. That makes +/- 1100,-. With 20,- a month it takes 55 months (thats 4 yrs and 7 months) to pay it of. During this time period there's going to be about 3 times a paid upgrade of 150,-. Thats another 450,- Thats almost 2 yrs extra.. In those 2 yrs there is another paid upgrade, which is another 8 months.. To pay of all of this in a subscription model it takes 7 years and 2 months (give or take) of 20,- a month. In my eyes its not that expensive. But i get it, someone who already has paid for a perpetual license loses more money when wanted to change to subscription. I think it should be reasonable for Presonus to give out a 15 months no payment to those who want to go from perpetual to subscription. And i'd rather see a rent-to-own model, where you pay monthly until you've paid for a perpetual license, and also for the addons.. a rent-to-own model. But now with the hybrid model, you pay 180,- per year, and after each year (i'd say the first year) you can choose to stop the subscription and you'll get the perpetual license.. It's half the price if you do it for only one year..
I might have to give Cubase a shot. I was using S1 for mixing and logic for producing. I was trying to switch to Ableton for producing, then just trying to do it all in S1. It would be nice if I could ditch apple and just have 1 computer for everything. Logic is nice for producing, but I'm sick of apple and how everything breaks every year when they go to a new OS. Logic has random bugs, but you can't update logic without updating the OS, and eventually they force you to buy a new Mac in order to update the OS for no reason but to get your money. Too many headaches and time wasted playing their games.
I have and use all the daws you are describing and Cubase is great. Funny that it’s much more stable than logic on Mac.
@@MaximusWhymanIs that so? That’s good to hear. I’m also switching from s1 to cubase 13, although I don’t remember having any stability issues myself. 🎹♥️
I agree. But I tried going back to pc a while back & it ended up wasting my money and even more of my time. Probably won’t ever do that again. Macs just work and that’s all I need. Also they don’t update themselves whether you want to or not. 🎹♥️
@@830jklYeah, I prefer Mac because I want to focus on music, and not computer related crap.
@@MaximusWhyman Abso-tively. 🎹♥️
Cubase ist the best DAW for Hip Hop stuff. No doubt.
former hardcore S1 user here. Now back on Cubase 13 and finally very happy, I must say... Now that Cubase has all the nice features that S1 made great (like bezier cuves, way more drag/drop, lower zone, simple bowser with vsti pics, effects on audio events, easy monostereo switch etc.) I don´t need S1 any more. Because Cubase has much more to offer than S1 - can´t live without the fast creative Samplertrack, the BEST midi editor, the creative wonderful chord pads!!!, the wayyy better Cubase stock effects, professional Retrologue, Padshop vstis, Groove Agent Drummer are so good, and the very inspiring modern sample content... YES, Cubase has the BEST flexible mixer, I really like the Control room. And not forget the 5 GB !! FREE orchestral sounds in version 13. resume: C13 highly recommend. ❤
Ditto. I thought S1 was the way ahead but with Cub 13 they’ve improved it so much. Fender/Presonus have lost their way and it’s just a money spinner for Fender. I hate the way big corporate have swallowed up this little gem.
GOAT
Studio one is the best daw. Having used pro tools for a long time
I love Studio One for mixing, but production and mixing i would have to say cubase has some great stock fx and tools for production
