Canoe Trail is an award winning watersports and adventure activities company based in the UK. We offer Canoe, kayak, and Stand Up Paddle Board hire as well as coaching and paddling expeditions around the world. We run annual canoe expeditions in Canada on the Yukon, with trips to Ontario, British Columbia. Also, expeditions in Scotland including our Best of Scotland and more wild paddling trips to remote lochs and Highland rivers.
Canoe Trail is a family-run company based in Bedford, on the banks of the River Great Ouse. I kayaked (solo) the inside passage twice from Seattle to Skagway. The first trip I had perfect weather (only 5 days of rain & only a couple days wind bound) and I spent 10 weeks paddling the classic route. The second trip I had more typical weather with ~ 2 weeks total either rain or wind bound and I made 3 side trips up fjords to the tidewater glaciers and a side trip to glacier bay before paddling to Skagway. The wildlife on both land and sea is unrivaled and the primitive camping is spectacular. If you paddle this route, do yourself a favor and don't constrain the trip to a specific end date - it can be dangerous if time constraints force you to paddle in conditions beyond your capabilities.
