The GFS pickup has more lower midrange and nice lower treble edge and a, I would call it, upper mid treble emphasis, when overdriven. Has an old Gretsch air about it when clean. I will bet it spanks when fingerpicked clean. Has Roger McGuinn sound. Sounds really nice clean or overdriven. I need to try them out. THANKS!!

I am currently in the process of building a 2x12 cab and yours by far is my most favourite go to video series for every single thing. Every other video titled "diy guitar cab" is some dood working in his dad's massive workshop loaded with all kinds of tools claiming to have done it in just a couple of hours in a super fast video alongside some generic metal track thrown in to make it even more annoying than they already are. Thanks for going into the detail of every thing and the hidden pitfalls involved in the entire process.

I noticed the same thing, the real Grover’s have a way more precise tuning ratio than these Chinese knockoffs. If you turn a Grover, it will move the string every millimeter, with fakes, you have to do almost a quarter turn to see and hear a difference. I have 4 Chinese guitars and ever one of them, I strip all the hardware and electronics and replace them with name brand stuff from the USA or Germany. But GOTOH, is an awesome brand, I think they’re made in Japan, the only country in Asia that makes quality everything. Anybody that likes Chinese tuners, really doesn’t know anything about guitars - sorry😂😂😂

What about the slider switch by the toggle on the lower horn? No one is explaining that one...
@Scurvycapn4 ай бұрын
That's because there isn't actually a slider switch there. On a normal jaguar, yes, you'd have a series of switches there, but to match the jag is was modeled after, the switch doesn't exist, just a backplate where the switch would be.

Yep my two faverite Les Paul pickups! The Dimarzio DP100 Super Distortion (that 80's rock tone) and the Gibson's Classic 57, (ZZ-Top, Santana, etc.) IMO the best of the best Les Paul tone! BTW The GFS Vintage Retrotron liverpools ARE used by a few old country session recording artists! In a tele they NAIL those old country tones! Think songs from Willie, Waylon, Hank, Johnny Cash, etc.

Hi! I bought this jaguar recently and I'm a bit worried about something... I find the tremolo arm to be extremely low, specially compared to other jaguars/jazzmasters. It is a bit annoying because It gets really difficult to use while strumming, since there is no space between my guitar pick and the strings to properly strum and use the tremolo. Has anyone else noted this? Can it be solved?
