    Some general tips and advice love 5 Card Draw and Duece to Seven! When played In home games.... 1. Think Of Pot Odds and Equity! Use Outs to make think of decisions! 2. Think of Position you should more In ealrier seats and call more. Early Position Fold/CALL More Late Position Call/Raise More Early and Middle position are your worst spots for oppertunity. 3. Most Pro's Fold atleast half of thier hands! 60-70% of thier time they fold predraw or beforeDraw. 4. Choose Pair Two Pairs or Trips/Three of a kind before betting 1st round. High Pairs/Two Pairs are good starting hands! 5. Play fewer hands but play good ones more agressively.... Afterdraw! 1. Never swap more than 3 cards! Some games you can swap 3 4 or all 5 Cards I highly discourage this! If you have to swap all 4 or 5 Cards your hand Is junk? Why raise? Why call before the draw round? Waste of time! Regardless of how many cards you can/want to swap! More than 3 Cards Is an Instant Fold 95% of thier time. 2. Play attention to how many cards others swap aswell! Use unpredicitiblity when swapping! Have three of a Kind swap one or two! Sometimes swap one Card! Have Pairs? Swap 2-3 Cards switch though make It unpredictable It makes It way to obvious!

    I don't play PokerStars free money anymore because there's just too many whales on that game.

    True, there are a lot. I never play NLHE free money for that reason. Unfortunately, no real money games I can find for TD in USA.

    This is great. Your advice is really good, I think (not that I'm an expert). Great point about the implied odds simply not being there with the straight/flush draws in the limit version. Big bet is rather different. Also, an ace-high flush draw is WAY better than say 8765x. You have one extra out, you can make a considerably better hand, and sometimes you'll pair your ace and win at showdown that way. I also think that PL or NL will show a higher ROI than limit in the long run. You can see me playing some PL and NL 5CD on my channel :) Oh, and I like the music!

    You played this SNG pretty well and have a good and solid thought process. Because of this, you should not be playing a jam or fold game HU ITM at 15bb. Even if you thought you didn't have an edge on the "solid" DevilTorra, I would not start a jam or fold game until at 9bb. HU ITM vs recs or regs who do not play the HU phase well, I will limp down to 6bb...

    Thank you! Against less aggressive opponents (who don't attack my limps so often), I normally would mix in some limps into my strategy. But maybe I still need to be limping more even against aggressive opponents like DevilTorra. I'll try to improve that next time - thanks!

    "Carny made kinda a loose call here I think" - Bruh, Carny cold called a 3bet with A6, then chased a 5:1 shot getting 3.2:1. Pretty sure Carny didn't say to himself, "I gots me a gut shot and if pigs can fly, 3 clean aces as outs, so that's 7 outs. Let's do some maths here...I needs me 2.6:1 and I'm getting 3.2:1, shit I call". Hell yeah Carny made a loose call! 🤪

    Pardon my massive understatement lol. :) Definitely very splashy play from him. And the call on the flop is even worse given his gutshot only works for half the pot.

    Wow, somebody else out there plays TD. Shame you can't play for real money. Here's a deep run I had if you want to take a look: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gK5ko81xktG4h6w.html Seems you have a good handle on this, but some comments on the start: 1:12 -- I would open 853 here (for a raise -- never open limp) because you're in good position. UTG I'd fold it for sure though, so it's close-ish. 2:43 with the 852 UTG -- I'd open it, but it's about the worst hand I open. Not a big mistake to fold if it is one at all. 3:11 -- I probably still call one raise here because you're getting great odds and you have a 7 blocker. 6:15 -- with this hand it's prob pretty close between 3-betting and drawing 1 and doing what you did. Never just call and draw 1. 7:10 -- have to pat the 9 there! Too likely he's still drawing (remember he drew 2) and just getting it all in. Even if he's pat, you'll still have the best hand sometimes. Third guy prob still drawing. Also no implied odds from making the monster you did.

    Thanks for the comments! And you have a really cool channel! I enjoy all the drawing games, so cool to see that you have a lot of videos for those. *Subscribed* And thanks for the feedback; seems like I could probably loosen up a bit with the 8 draws. And that last hand I think I got scared with my 9 multiway with the guy raising - but he could have just been getting it all in, like you said and great point about the no implied odds. Thanks!

    Tend to agree with all you've said. What do you think of the fold at 15:25? Good tourney fold? I woulda folded too. and what about the fold at 18:14 ? At 19:26 I woulda folded to the 3bet, what do you make of the call?

  • @pokerformuppets
    @pokerformuppetsАй бұрын

    @@consumer61 That's a tight fold at 15:25. Considering it went 3:2 initially, he could (should) be patting pretty wide. Wouldn't say a *bad* fold in a tourney though. I also might bet the flop directly after hitting so well, because the 3:2 spot is an exception to the "always bet if you drew fewer cards" rule. I think the fold at 18:14 is a good one unless you have a read that he's a monkey in which case you have to call. You have to call at 19:26. No way you can ever fold in that spot -- hands just run too close together. In limit 5-card draw, where hands are much further apart, you can and should fold in that spot sometimes.

    @@pokerformuppets Thanks for the reply. Makes a tonne of sense. In the last one, I guess we call and draw + evaluate. You know of any resources to read/learn about triple draw? I find the game super interesting but I don't have a good sense of thresholds like I do in nl and omaha. I subbed to your channel.
