    what surprised me is how brittle the piececool metal is. I've built many cheaper aliexpress models. Most of them have more pliable, softer steels that can tolerate user errors, but piececool as you said in the video doesn't give you that change. If you fold the piece wrong, then you're done, trying to fold the piece otherwise will often results a break. This is so dissappointing thinking the price and the position of the brand. They should have used a softer steel type.

  • @mosesmodels
    @mosesmodels2 ай бұрын

    It depends on the part, usually they tolerate a wrong bend or two, but some parts are very brittle as you mention. Piececool knows that, therefore they provide enough spares, so there is room for errors. But thinking ahead and testfitting is key for a good result.

    Acutually, there is a metal model of Sagrada on the market made by Microworld ! It has 311 parts on 7 sheets and a 6 (7 is the max) difficulty rating. Great challenge!

    Hi, fellow. First of all my congratulations, model planes, even more so the Spitfire is not something anyone can do. I'm just sorry I don't see the finished model. Don't worry about the video timing, it doesn't matter. Show the model from start to finish, because what I saw already left me ecstatic. I think that in a 20 minute video you could show us all your technique, accuracy and expertise. Don't be shy, I was waiting for the end of the execution, but I can only deduce that it was great.

    If you want much more detailed and challenging paper models, go check out polish ones (i.e. Orlik, WAK, kartonowa kolekcja and other brands). Our standard scale is 1/33, but separate ailerons, all the wiring, much more detailed cabins, instruments, gear etc. is a standard. In example, my latest Hurricane which is neither best-made or most detailed model, 1/33: papermodels.pl/thread-11518.html

    HI, just saw this video of the kits that are printed on very good quality paper. As you have shown, the papermodel kit are printed on both sides of the paper as seen also in 3:57 and in many places, Are they really printed on both sides on a single paper? then how can we cut the pieces? if not, have you shown the two pages folded as half and then showing us the both sides at once? Thanks, I loved your review. A thumbs up from me.

    Damn, I wish I knew a German WW2 Veteran, somebody mentioned my great-grandfather served in WW2 but that was only an assumption and it's not confirmed. I heard when he came to America he was old and couldn't speak a lick of English, he died at age 99 I believe. Although I sadly never met him. Sometimes I feel like he is the reason why I'm suddenly obsessed with Nazi Germany, I could only assume. Great video though, that model looked frustarating to build, haha.
