    Hello - thank you for a great video. I installed the tow bar yesterday and will be doing the electronics install one of the evenings or next weekend. I have two questions for you: a) How long did the electronics install take? b) Were there any particularly difficult things to be aware of with the wiring and connections? Or is it just a matter of following the instructions step by step?

    personally i really like the space ship that the zoe do,(i have the 2018 r110 limited 40), think that sound its only from 1 to 30 km/h...and a part of safe for people, they will turn the head to see what kind of vehicle its making that noise,even today is strange to see an electric car 😆😁

    Well,I bought the electric car, because I like silent driving. Any better gasoline car is even much more silent than the sound generator of the Zoe. A high class Mercedes S-class, or Rolls Royce are very silent, you can't hear them when driving slow. For the gasoline cars, they spend a huge amount of money to make them silent and with the electric cars, they need to spend money to make it loud? So if a silent Rolls Royce car bump on you, that's fine, but if a silent electric car bump on you, that's a problem? I can't get the point... By the way, if I know they can't hear me, I drive like they can't hear me...

    To find the real charging speed use: kWh/time*60 example if you got 15 kWh on 40 minutes is the formel 15/40*60 what is 22,5 kW. If you got example 44 kWh by 2 hours and 32 minutes is the formel you need to do first is 2 hours is 120 minutes and you add 32 minutes then 152 minutes. Formel is like this 44/152*60 = 17,36 kW as average charging speed. Charging loss depend on cable, Volt and A, Temperature. On ordinary fast chargers for car with CHAdeMO and CCS is it around 10% charging loss.

    Well, it's not a high class car. Everything hard plastic, no soft touch, And not sound isolation in the doors, or somewhere else. And the shock absorbers are not great, just like a wiggly swing ;-) Zoe is a low budget electric car ;-) What I still love about that car, is the 43 kW AC charging possibility When driving long distance; i try to charge only 43 kW, so it's not that long time to wait, like 22 or 11 kW charging stations. If I have the choice again today, I will not buy a Zoe anymore. But that time 2018, I guess, it was the best choice.

One price on all chargers all over Europe play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enbw.ev&hl=en_US&gl=US Maybe you can always find a more cheap one from a local provider, but EnBW works just everywhere.

    Hi, hope you are well. Are you still towing with your Zoe? Ever considered doing some consumption stats normal driving vs towing?

  • @eDriver
    @eDriver3 жыл бұрын

    Hi, yes I am still using the trailer and towing with Zoe. I am planing to do a video about the consumption, But it's different, if the trailer is loaded or empty. I am allowed to drive with that trailer 100 km/h on the German Autobahn. Including tolerance I set the cruise control always to 110 km/h with the trailer. But I can tell you, than it's sucking energy... If I charge to 80% I can not drive 180 km distance anymore.

  • @dekockj
    @dekockj3 жыл бұрын

    @@eDriver Looking forward to that. Yes I can imagine very different consumption with just car vs empty trailer vs loaded trailer. You could also consider perhaps difference between 90km/h vs 110km/h with the trailer. I have found I can easily get 30% range increase by driving 90km/h with Zoe. Over here most roads are limited to 80km/h anyway.

    @adeldaroga19323 жыл бұрын

    Great work Alex.. Congratulations .. although I would love to have this sorted out and turn the sound button to be silent on default, I would not try this. Electrical circuits in modern cars are very accurate due to on board computers. In this case, it would be even more complicated in an electric car. See I have a Zoe 2018 and sometimes, even with changing a W5W bulb, the car requests key in as it detected a change in electrical circuits. So I really admire the work, but I would definitely look for a better solution via programing rather than this.

    Well, I have the same 2018 model. The Renault Zoe is not a modern high-tech electric car, like a Tesla, where you can do everything via software. I am pretty sure, you can't do this via programming. But if you will find a solution, let me know..
