He only used Gapfill by Starvant in this video I think (but use all plugins by Starvant because they are all a must-have anyways) And also Building Tool By F3X is useful sometimes

For alignment problems use resize align or perhaps scale down the amount of studs for moving the model

When it comes to recoloring unions a simple fix I found was using a old building tool called F3x, which has a plugin in studio. It allows you to color unions, which is odd that such an old tool can outperform studio in this remark. Still annoying though.
