Must be nice to have access to the gym to be able to practice that much; most kids don’t have that kind of access. Definitely pays to have connections like her dad being the AD. At my HS, you might make the team, but you didn’t play unless your mother or father was connected. Think of all the kids that aren’t given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The sad true for these previous great players is that the NCAA and the WNBA has changed for the worst regarding individual players. Their new way of creating stars by the media does not include older stars or are more selective on whom they promote or highlight.

What Caitlin Clark did this NCCAW tournament and the 2023-2024 season in general reminded me of Jackie Stiles…. this video filled the gap and answered my question: what happened to Jackie Stiles? Now, I know… Thanks

Glad you're giving her the props she deserves. I got her 1,000 Shots DVD for my then girlfriend who played college ball. If she would have played for the Sparks I'm almost certain more people would have known her name. Glad you included that she's doing just fine these days as a trainer and camp host.

Terrific story & narration! I would have never cared about this at all, except for the compelling headline and then being carried along by one of the most mellow but authoritative and extremely professional voices I've EVER heard on any KZread track. Fantastic job, BH!!
