Sergio did have a very beautiful swing. I see a lot of him in Rory. I thought he was going to be head to head with Tiger, don’t know what happened. I’m glad you have this channel analyzing swings so people can see it takes an enormous amount of skill and talent to hit the ball like professionals.
Thanks for watching!
Travis...let Keith talk next week.
Your first line isn't even drawn accurately
It's the pout
Great analysis
Only diff b/w he and Moe, is Moe used diff length shafts and had a diff finish
And moe put the grip through his lifeline of his right hand. He also sat into his left knee and had more vertical drop than Bryson. Moe released the club earlier than anyone who has ever played the game. Watch Jack Kuykendahl. You can learn the huge differences between the two.
I can’t believe he swings with all that stuff in his pocket
My héros ! When I try to make that, my driver shot is more easy and the results come. Not in distance, but at the impact very square and regular 😅. That’s all what I need !
Be nice if you let Phil talk.
Big dummy was slashing out to win. Next the majors started toppling. Why did he do that. He was winning without the distance. That’s about a good six years thrown away.
I thought thos was theo von narrating for a second..😅
As a 3 time Ryder Cupper, 3 time winner and 3 time runner upper (loss 3 playoffs won one) on the European Tour and top 20 golfer in the World, McGinley's critique has a lot more weight than Chambalee's brain fart. McGinley lost and won in similar situations on tour for decades. Rory wins multiple times per year and all but wins Majors. The stats and results show he is putting much better over the last 5 years since working with Faxon. But obviously, to seal the deal from less than 5 feet, not as good as Xander Keopka, Bryson, Scheffler or Woods and Faldo in their days. Obviously his swing mechanics are good enough to win majors (also 1st in total driving at US Open). What about hitting driver off 18 when he hit the fairway 3 days out of with 3 wood? No swing mechanics involved in sticking to your game plan. None. Putting: he missed the 4ft putt that he stood over motionless for an age after his eyes got to back to the ball, and then the weak prod on the fast l to r 2.5ft putt on 18 where the blade did not close naturally. The pressure (which is extreme) got to him on both. Needs to stick to his routine, staying moving and commit to a free flowing stroke (as he does on longer putts which where excellent).
Good news from the future...Post US Open (mid June), Scottie Scheffler is number 1 for putts/round and birdie conversions; been winning a lot of tournaments.👍
His ball striking was superb, it’s the clutch putt that failed
Rory choked on the 72nd hole & then Amanda Balionis choked on him, lets not feel so bad about Rory
Doug Saunders at St Andrews 72nd hole, missing a short putt, was very much like Rory on 72nd hole Sunday...it was like a replay.
Rory acting like a child and running away....mental issues
Well w dechambo
Great show guys!!
Thanks, really helpful prompts on the grip. Been looking at grip but haven't clicked until your explanation.
Love these types of podcast. Really gives a solid check list on the basics. Thank You!
First tip that has really helped on not going over the top. Excellent tip.
He needs to try armlock if he hasn’t
Brad Chamblee should not have his contract renewed. He is always second guessing. That is not analysis.
His right arm is straight and away from his body at setup but bent and tucked into his body at impact, a conventional position, but certainly different from his address.
Definitely correct. However I think he's mainly referring to the shaft and forward arm ........that being said his rear arm is tucked, it both positions but in the actual impact it's loaded fully
Trump 2024
Great show guys! I enjoy listening to you guys every week
i had bets on Bryson to win but was happy for Xander.
Keith sure hyped up Rahm and Straka last wk only for both to miss the cut. This wk at Charles Schwab, I'll take Tom Kim (55/1), and Billy Horschel (60/1).
loving the shallow action happening behind you
What about scheffler in relation to this laid off vs across the line? Thanks
IMHO: Xander 2022 reminiscent of 2009 TW laid off swing(fade) Xander 2024 reminicent of 2005 TW draw swing slightly across the line(draw)- - matches up to his draw preference/tendency.
What putter is he using?
I'll go with Scottie👨🍳 and Matthew Fitzpatrick. Also, Russell Henley and Si Woo Kim as a couple dark horses to finish top 10.
I always love the discussion and information provided in this podcast. Thanks, Travis and Keith.
Hopefully he'll never listen to Harmon who will Butch - er him like he has Fowler.
This is the only way I swing it now very consistent ball striking and farther distance
Need evidence that golf instruction doesn’t work? The instructors can’t fix a generational talent like Rory Mcilroy or Jordan Spieth. Need more evidence? There are instructors who have had the opportunity to help Tiger Woods, possibly the most talented golfer ever, and they couldn’t. They actually made him worse. And they are STILL relevant in the industry and STILL thought to be ex-pert. And the instructors can’t play. Case closed.
Very well said
“Strong face, shallow shaft, and more rotation” is NOT better for the average amateur. What is best for the average amateur is what is a FIT for them. And that could be a more open face, a steeper shaft, and less rotation and IS a large amount of the time. Despite all the advances in modern technological measurement devices, golf instruction is STILL in the dark ages
another example of so called “top instructors” demonstrating how preferences are the enemy of success. i say again, either terry rowles is wrong or y’all are. which is it? do something worthwhile instead of these blah blah blah talks and force the conversation
It’s not a new idea, and you can make one with a piece of wood. Or draw or paint a line on a coin. Also, you’re saying that ANYTHING that improves your golfing skills is worth a lot of money, which is simply not true. A towel can serve as several different golf practice accessories, should we charge $100 just to name it “golf practice towel”?
Elaine throws puddys coat out the window, puddy comes out wearing the same coat because Joe Mayo owned the same one.
So why did he change his swing?
This aged well, as he’s working with Kenyon now
About this video all I can say is that Mike Adams is a genius.
Dr. MacKenzie is outstanding. This was just another example of his knowledge that is so helpful to us average golfers.
Golf was invented in Europe ( Scotland ) , by a European, the Ruder Cup is our thing, just leave to us Europeans and save yourselves a shameful competition…
At least Aaron Oberholser had the stones today to call out the hatchet job that’s been done on the genius player of the era gone ruined; Jordan Spieth
Either your preferences are correct, or their matchups are incorrect. There is no room for both of these to be simultaneously true
It’s time to have the conversation. Either Terry Rowles and Mike Adams are wrong or the rest of you are. Which is it?
