  Stell’s Room is his safe space and where he can be more confident about himself over all. He shared this during his interviews. The ROOM sends messages that this is “Who I Am - Sexier, Bolder, Fiercer, Matured and very confident” The MV is all about acceptance and respect from each other no matter what gender. Self empowerment with respect towards others. Trusting and believing in yourself Thank you beautiful ladies ❤❤❤ By the way today June 16 is Stell’s birthday 😊😊😊

  Fot context, Stell did not really announced that he is releasing his debut already. He pranked everyone that he auditioned for a musical play and got accepted. Him and Justin's idea. Tho he really would like to release something (a cover but not an actual single) on/before his birthday (June 16), it was Pablo who convinced him to finally do it. Pablo wrote this and him and his brother Josue produced and mastered the track. You will also hear Pablo and Ken doing the backing vocals. Justin is the creative director. The music really fits Stell, showcasing his vocals and dancing skills not to mention his acting skills too. It's giving #BrunoMarsXMichaelJackson He also included Tita Baby the Drag Queen in the MV as a tribute to LGBTQIA+ Community as they are not usually being exposed to mainstream media and also because we celebrate the Pride Month this June. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 The #Room is all about a place deep inside Stell where he feels most himself and the most confident. Like an alter ego. ♥️😳 Enjoy! ❤️

  we are a Catholic country but we are not that close minded to things. it's not wholeheartedly accepted but many accept it as part of life. it's like conservative with a splash of open-mindedness.

As a Stell 🍓 it's not the genre I thought he will be releasing for his Solo, but hey not surprised at all like I said it's very Stell 🍓.   Thank you for your reaction ladies. I always love the points that you make and the questions that you pose. Just want to answer your question re Filipino culture. Majority of us are Catholics (due to Spanish occupation) and therefore can be perceived as conservative. However, our pre-colonial roots are progressive as evidenced by our language and norms. In Tagalog our pronouns/roles are gender neutral i.e. he/she is "sya", husband/wife is "asawa", brother/sister is "kapatid". In the workforce, men and women have equal pay, and power balance is also equal. Also the younger generation is more open to gender vs sexuality conversations. Our 2023 Ms Universe candidate came out as bisexual and faced no backlash so these are positive markers. Though there's still a long way to go since LGBTQ++ rights bill has not yet been signed into law.

  Here in the Philippines, gay(lgbtq/drag) people are already prominent and they got a huge presence in the mainstream media eversince. In short, we're used to seeing them so there's no issue there. Of course there would still be homophobic here and there but I think a lot of us are more accepting. Maybe, also because a bunch in the pride community is respectful as well to our preferences and they don't shove their sexuality into our faces unlike what's happening in, let's say, in the US. Mutual respect is a huge factor. It's a brave move on part of Stell tho because it's actually the first time a male idol boldly includes them on the MV. But, it's SB19. They are very much inclusive. This MV showcased that the aura and charm of Stell transcends all gender. If he's in the ROOM, everyone will be captivated on his presence. That's basically the MV in a nutshell.

  Filipinos may be considered tolerant, but not totally accepting. There are segments of society that are decidedly conservative; however, in general, people will suspend judgment and allow for individuality.

  "That entire thing is a flirt." Yes, yes it is. In answer to your question, Jenny, what do I think of Stell's 'Room'? My answer is: yes, yes please and thank you. I love the song so much, it's funky; it's retro, but it's undeniably Stell. The song is sexy, but it's also confident, and I think, empowers the people that hear it. I don't know if that's just me. JD was saying, and I agree, about how progressive the MV was -- and I loved it so much for that! This debut showed everyone he is capable of as a soloist -- for those who were unaware of him from SB19, as well as those of us who are!

  Philippines is very inclusive. In contrast, we are still a little bit more conservative compared to western cultures .. BUT, I think everything depends on the gravity of the expression. If things are done in good wholesome intentions or done in a more serious sexual intentions... That is where Filipinos draw the line. Pride month is not that big over here, because we value respecting humans as a whole regardless of sexuality. As long as people conduct themselves respectably, sexual orientations do not matter at all.

  There is already a live performance of this, Stell performed it at All Out Sunday earlier today and he has also released a dance practice as well. Fun fact: Aside from writing this, Pablo together with his brother Josue (together they are called Radkidz) produced this while Justin is one of the creative directors of this MV together with Xi-Anne. So they really fit the song and MV to Stell so well. Can't wait for you to see the other members' solo songs as each one of them gives a different flavor of their own. Also looking forward to more SB19 group reactions. Enjoying seeing you ladies go through this journey.

  I smiled when JD said Jenny will lock you in the room and Jenny said you can never leave, but it’s the other way around once you go into Stell’s room it you who can’t leave heheheh JD asked how the reaction of the video was hmmm a lot of berries cried hahaha most were super proud, the drag queen being there is no big deal, it’s accepted here. Oh and Pablo wrote the song and Justin is the creative director of the mv.
