    What's the reason for not starting him? In the grand scheme of things yeah not playing first preseason game isn't really going to set back his development. Is this the Bears trying to build intrigue around their team or just simply precaution?

    Ryan Ploles has done a better job than most of the gm's before him because the bears never wanted to pay their players.

    is he stupid, he has been with the lions for one year. He was a major part of the bears success and now the lions success. Good luck with swift... paying way more for half the running back Dmo is. Should have held onto him.

    Judon and Sweat would create instant havoc on the line and propel this defense into being top 3. However, the asking price may be to steep for a guy turning 32 years old this season , especially when you have draft picks coming in next year. I think that’s what Poles is counting on. If anything, getting Conor Williams at center would be worth the gamble, but who knows how lengthy of a contract he’s looking for as well.

    Jim approach on QB is to limit them. That's why Kap never developed as a passer and JJ will show more as a passer in the NFL compared to college

    I think at 110 for 4 we got a steal for DJ. I can't believe Velus is still in the conversation for making this team. I loved this kid in college but he needs to seriously step up I've run out of patience with him. This is season three with him, we need improvement BIG improvement.

    Tremayne and Nate did not play up to their contracts He coulda had Jaylon for less had he signed him earlier Yannik all hype and very little production

  • @ChiBearsCentral
    @ChiBearsCentralКүн бұрын

    Tremaine led the NFL in tackles while he was healthy and till finished over 100. The only area he struggled was in coverage. Also there is nothing to say he could have signed Jaylon for less as they negotiated and initially Jaylon and his camp weren’t happy with the deal.

  • @rogwarrior1018

    I have no issue with Tremayne, he showed up, room to grow but I think he has the desire. Davis is trash. This guy seems to be okay with mediocrity when he has a lot of potential...reminds me of Cutler. Cutler had so much talent and could have taken us far but he didn't work at reaching his best and in the SB I think he just quit. Davis has his $ so he doesn't care.

    Give the Pats a conditional pick based on snaps like the Steelers did with Justin. If Judon is healthy they get the 5th they want, but if he misses games it’s a 6 or 7. Also contingent on agreeing to an extension before the trade.

    Although adding O-line can be fraught (when adding linemen NOT thru the draft) it's still the biggest concern because the consequences of our O-line crumbling are just too high. Besides the inescapable fact that great teams always have great O-lines (so we need to get there anyway) in our case this rebuild has taken years, painful sacrifice, we had excellent luck in draft position two years in a row...these things are hard won building blocks and/or situations we would have a hard time ever duplicating. If we experience o-line attrition again and, because of that, we end up losing high value young offensive talent due to injury (heaven forbid) we will be kicking ourselves. We can't be penny wise yet dollar foolish. The stakes are too high.

    I would lean on the young DE’s right now. I think we need to give these guys a chance to shine. The best development is playing time. And Judon would take the snaps away from the guys who could benefit from it

    I agree. Ive been saying the same. I dont understand why people think Poles will spend energy fixing something that isnt broken. The defense finished off the season great. And if we get another superior DE then its unlikely that Booker will get no playing time and it will be a wasted draft pick

    DJ Moore is going to be a Hall of Famer. He's already shown that he can produce at an elite level no matter who's under center. So imagine if Caleb is even close to what he's projected to be. He can set records.

    Going to be ? Do you kno how hard it is to be a HOF as a WR ? He’s a great player. He’s hasn’t had any pro bowls or all pros as a pro yet. Guys like Torry Holt , Andre Johnson , Andre Rison, Jimmy Smith, Sterling Sharpe. These guys have multiple All pro and pro bowls. He’s 27 he needs like 6 elite years multiple all pro and pro bowls to get in .

    DJ been ballin since he got in the league…very similar to Hopkins if u ask me cause he doing it WITHOUT with a QB! He still not on the top 100 but I got a feeling things will change in his fortune! All he gotta do is keep doing what he been doing! With this move, I believe our focus will be the OL/DL & if we can swing OT Tristan Wirfs in free agency we can draft OL & DL with them 1st 3 picks in 2025! Next players to get paid will be Brisker & Gordon, shouldn’t be ground breaking contracts neither, but they worth $5 mil a year

    He still need some blue chip draft picks. He drafted some solid players but blue chip draft picks get you to the superbowl. I’m still not convinced we have a pass rush outside of sweat. The better teams like GreenBay blocked him. Last year, the Colts beat the hell out of the Bears in preseason and they tried to hide the embarrassment. This is why I’m not worried about how good they are doing in training camp against their own guys.
