    So if you plan to stay long term, but they speak English in international school and Hindi at home, then how are they’re supposed to learn Danish, which should be important in case of longer term stays as in 10+ years

    Hey Arun!I really don't know why people think it's easier if you're an EU citizen.I visited Copenhagen two months ago wanting to explore my options.I have a usable college degree,desirable citizenship and look like any Dane but still met a wall of silence just like everyone else.Most of all I got information and advice mostly from people from India,I guess because they can identify with me and understand how I feel as a foreigner who would like to come to Denmark.Even for EU citizens it is not easy to move to Denmark and the language is really hard.I don't know if I would be ever able to learn it because I really can't make vowels like this.The good thing is that in Denmark literally even cats speak very good English but Danes still want foreigners to speak their wonderful language. 🤠

    This woman is.....I don't know ... 🤩 I'm both proud and grateful that she "gave some of her life to Denmark". She's like our Mary: We owe the country she came from 🥰🥰 and if you meet Denmark with curiousity, you'll be met by curiousity. Danes get confused, if you're here, despite hating gender equality, secularity, high taxes and naked bodies... Why are you in Scandinavia? If you don't want to hang out with us, what's the point? My small provicial town was gifted a batch of Tamil refugees in 1984. We still regognize their different colour, but their children (and grand- 🥰) are as Danish as any. We couldn't live without them! Danes are a tribe - not a people, not a nation. Denmark has been big, even an empire, but we're now reduced to a A TRIBE! If you speak like a Dane, behave like a Dane, and live like a Dane... SURPRICE: There's no fåking chance in the world, that you're not a Dane. ( Keep the Swedes out of this, please 😉😉 200 years ago, there were no Danes! It just wasn't an identity! People were Sealanders, Schlewigers, Molboere, Bergensers, Bornholmers, Icelandic, Lofoters, Lollics ... what ever. The only actual Dane was the king 🤣 My kids can't ever become Brahmins or Shikhs, even if they were 5th generation... Though their Dad is English, and went to posh boarding school, and all that "hobnob stuff" - there's not chance our sons could ever "make it" in the UK. They've been brainwashed in Folkeskolen: They simply can't lick a#se 🙄 But my kids could "make it biggish" in Nicaragua: Blue eyes is cool, but = Gringoes = mistrust! NO, they speak the local lingo, and they live with, and like the locals. But the poor sods are Danish, so they are not going anywhere 😉 You're as Danish as you feel! I'm proud my kid's feel Nicaraguan - when they are there! I'm not sure, how I would feel, if my kids became MORE an other nationality, than mine 🤔 Our "old" Tamils want to go home - naturally - but they can't take their kids - and their grandchildren are ... lost? Danish? International? On an other planet. Sorry, too many thoughts - peace, love and hygge 🥰 And thank you for enlightening me 🤩

    If I am not mistaken then For PR not only PD3 but 5 to 6 years full time work record & without GAP required. spending 3 years to learning Danish is huge investment of time. Geographical wise Denmark is very small country compare to France, Germany, Spain & Italy. All 4 countries are well developed from east to west, north to south & high qualified job are in every corner of those countries. In Denmark high qualified jobs mostly located in Copenhagen so after learning Danish movability remain limited. Learning German will easily help you to travel & find a work in Germany, Austria & Switzerland. Learning french will easily help you to travel & find a work in France, Switzerland or Canada, Quebec. Learning Spanish will easily help you to travel & find a work Spain, South America & many Caribbean countries. Above all, The weather is crazy. Every third day it’s raining. Even in summer needed to wear winter clothes. House rent is expensive. For bachelor (single) is impossible to have small appartment with the small salary. Transport is also expensive. The Nordic countries & rest of the European countries are too far from Denmark. Also to travel is expensive. While I was living in Paris on weekends I fly to Barcelona, Vienna, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Budapest, Milan. It was well connected & affordable. Overall Denmark is glossy & fuzzy.

    How do Danes see someone with experience like Natalie applying for internships? In my country (Italy) overqualification is seen as a bad thing

  • @arunindenmark
    @arunindenmark2 ай бұрын

    Some cases over qualification is a problem, including where the place I hail from, but in Denmark, I have worked with some of the most over qualified and senior employees taking up internships and all of a sudden start from scratch by pursuing relevant education as well. Which is something I cant imagine doing it myself .)
