hey have you done it on the gtr models? I can't get the esc out of the board. it has a plastic enclosure that even taking the screws out of the bottom enclosure still won't come out. any help ?

It’s really good, with a lot of useful features, but I find that the thumbwheel is too small, making it difficult to be smooth either accelerating or braking, especially if you have large hands. I’m retrofitting mine with a larger thumbwheel. Great riding!

How did you work out which motor controller wires went in to the new pt connectors? When there’s 6 pins on the tenka and only 5 wires wash side from the evolve motors? Was it just leave the extra one or spare one empty? Cheers love the vid

I've had a similar modification done to mine and can't find the technician anymore. The board's range has dropped to about half. I believe he also used the VESC tool to program the board as well. Is there an easy way to troubleshoot the battery to verify the cells are the problem?

This I a great way to diy you old GT but is is in no way shape or form anything like the haedean. You’d need the Hadean ESC not a tenka. You’d need to be running 12s not 10s. And would need evoked special bms they use. As well as the exact motors they use not flipsky. Also you can’t use their new remote. Again a great way to diy and upgrade a GT but definitely not anything near a hadean.

No they’ve been out of stock way too long now. I do believe that the unity plus is made with parts of less quality as it blew out much quicker than my previous original one. And the case being glued to the PCB making it harder for DIY repairs like for what reason? It’s like they can now become best friends with future motion or something. What a shame All the potential will die with the unity. again.

Question: I have bought a Tenka in preparation for a new battery and motors, Is it possible to put the Tenka in with a stock GTR BMS and battery/ motors? From what I've seen it looks ok but I've also heard that evolves BMS is pretty unique and hard to work with. Thanks!

Just check the stock battery voltage to make sure it's within the range for the tenka. I also don't know what the stock batteries continuous discharge rate is, and you'll wanna know that so that you don't have the vesc drawing more current than the battery can provide

I would love to try some of this, especially with bigger motors, but the fear of bricking my board, and turning it into a normal longboard is the only thing stopping me. Especially with the extra cost of parts, its not a cheap upgrade (cheaper than buying a Hadean though) I'll probably wait a bit.. but that Hadean top speed and mileage is kinda making me think
