"God has hurled us in the midst of this people, the Arabs, who have persecuted us severely, and passed baneful and discriminatory legislation against us. Never did a nation molest, degrade, debase and hate us as much as they. No matter how much we suffer and elect to remain at peace with them, they stir up strife and sedition" Maimonides, the Epistle to Yemen.

Let it be known that islam its essence is the m primordial that came BEFORE Judaism it is tbd natural disposition within every individual znd the collective of all mankind that GOD IS ONE to which is attached basic fundamental practices identified in Quran As belief in then e god associating no partners in equality to him to preform acts of worship directed solely at him to be true in faith and to cognoscenti and caring towards the less fortunate this is pre Abraham pre Israel Pre Torah pre tanahk pre Talmud it’s a return to the core Essenes of our spiritual being connection to god Judaism is partly that but it is WELL known that much of the canaanites religious and spiritual identity was adopted by Judaism indeed this is indisputable it’s interesting to note that rabbis when speaking about the differences between ISHMAEL and Isaac point to Ishmael as a wild man because of his unyielding committed total tradition of following gods law shine Isaac was more shall I say it more judicially selective in his application that’s vary telling number 1- Ishmael was also practical application of the law clear when you read Quran via his seed the Arabs and number 2- that commitment to the law is the criteria that defines The blessed RIGHTEOUS REMNANT in Torah ax states in Torah in the book of Jeremiah a the Heart ❤️ receptive and Obie die the to the law also repeated by DAVID in psalms I am Muslim and former Christian I czn not thank Allah enough for this blessing of truth ... Al Baqara verse 40 of The Quran addresses Bnei Israel and reminds them to obey their covenant. In reality, The Quran tells Jews to be Jews. So, even if I read and like your book, I have to be a Jew.

The Ayah in question is conditional on the Israelites (Jews) fulfilling their contract with God which did not happen at the time preceding the Prophet, nor during the time he was in their presence nor, seemingly, after his time. The Hebrew Bible itself (references available on request) itself confirms the breaking of the covenant between the Israelites and God. So, in the era since, anyone not following the revelation of the Qur'an will have to explain to God why they chose not to in the hereafter. If any person can show how they have fulfilled the covenant with God then, presumably, they will be safe. It would, however, be far safer to attempt this with the benefit of the most recent of revelations given the shortcomings detailed in the prior art.

@@stephenconnolly1830 The verse says for Jewish people to fulfill their covenant with HaShem. Full stop. I read it. The context is reminding Jews to follow Jewish law and to set a better example for the rest of Bnei Noah, including Muslims. I’m not disrespecting The Quran; it’s saying that Jews should be Jews and don’t need to convert to Islam but rather should consider The Quran.

(يا بني إسرائيل اذكروا نعمتي التي أنعمت عليكم وأوفوا بعهدي أوف بعهدكم وإياي فارهبون) [البقرة: 40، 41] This verse is very clear telling the Israelites to keep God's covenant so God keeps his promise with them and not what you say.

This is 100% true. There is another verse that criticize the Jews that don't keep Shabbat and another that criticizes them for coming to Muhammad PBUH for judgment rather than going to Torah. The Muslims who want to force Jews to convert are simply wrong. The Quran also confirms that Prophet Moses PBUH received the Torah "face to face" and that the Law of God SWT in the Torah is Eternal. If Jews were to convert to Islam then they would have done so at the time the Prophet PBUH ruled over the city, but the Jews were allowed to stay as Jews and keep their covenant with God SWT. There were Jews who were executed during the time of the Prophet PBUH but they were judged according to the Torah and given the option to convert to escape execution.

@@jameslawrence4199 - you are wrong because you have not read the various commentaries of the Qur'an on this matter and are making the same fallacy of literalistic interpretation extremists make. Jews broke their treaty with God so He gave it to the Muslims following the Qur'an faithfully. Jews will have to explain why they are not following the new dispensation - the Qur'an.

Simply, another waste of money on a bunch of orientalists whose only aims are to misrepresent Islam to theirs people first, then to gullible Muslims, and they serve as charlatans/experts for their political sponsors. If you want to study Islam, study it in traditional way on the hands of REAL Muslim scholars in a Muslim country.
