I'm a director and cinematographer based in the United States. Here I share tips and lessons I've learned over the course of my 10 year filmmaking career.

My question is how on Netflix and else they never get the light bulbs over exposed?? It can't be just dynamic range. Do they use special light bulbs covered with gel?
@nourisardardp4 ай бұрын
I’m sure they make sure their bulbs are of a certain strength in line with their setup before they even hit record

Great video Nouri. Really informative, and you clearly have a good critical eye. Hit me up if you want to work on something together that needs a moving, atmospheric soundtrack. I'm an aspiring composer based in the UK and looking to share in making some short films. Keep up the good work man 💪

Interesting! You can see one is a filmmaker when one uses a shotgun mic for solo youtube videos. Because it's either the one mic we have or we can't be bothered spending on a podcast mic! EDIT: I checked and you actually have a Shure mic in previous vids. However, your voice is much more present and soft with the shotgun
@nourisardardp5 ай бұрын
Haha thank you. Though the Shure SM7B is a gold standard for podcasts, I actually really prefer the clarity of the Seinheisser MKE 600. This comes after being obsessive with sound, buying and returning a ton of mics, and going down the KZread microphone comparison videos rabbit hole. But I'll probably switch between the two now and then for these videos.

A similar thing happened to me. 10 years ago I did a video for a small company in France (one of my first freelance gigs) then I moved to the UK. They tried to get different other people to do their next videos, and they have contacts with people in agencies and the industry. 10 years later, they called me saying they wanted only me to work on their next main video and ready to pay me my travel expenses and double my normal rates. Reason: I was the only one who could deliver with no hassle and no delays... on the other side, they are a good client too that's why I said yes.

We at Zaman International have just had the honor of working with the talented Nouri Sadar. The annual video is in my inbox. Its stunning. Not only do you keep your word but you worked very hard despite some challenges to meet the timeline but also to make sure it is a piece to be proud of. You listen, you execute the plan, your revise, you deliver, and because of this annual video - Zaman will grow. Bless you. Can’t wait to release it to the world. - Najah Bazzy
