Thanks so muck for posting this. It's wunnerful to see early Lawrence Welk episodes. Alice Lon and the band were great with a Latin sound to Zing went the strings of my heart and I loved the Lennon sisters and Pete Fountain, I have never seen the last two acts before. This was a real treat!

Hi, thank you for uploading! Would it be possible for me to repost the footage of Big Tiny Little playing piano on my channel? Credit will of course be given to you as owner of the footage, and a link to this video and channel. If not, I understand. Thank you!

Love it. Reminds me of watching old family reels. Today, we take cellphone video for granted. For my generation a Super 8 camera (no sound) and a projector were something of a luxury.

Thank you Bill for sharing that reel ... I was born 8 years after that was made but still remember all those places especially the welcome center. Used to stop in and get that little 2 oz cup of fresh squeezed OJ ! Was free back then. They probably charge 9 dollars for it now. Lol. Keep up the good work. Ironically we ended up moving down to daytona in the 80's from our hometown of Tennessee!

I bought this same projector in 1979, and it's ran very well. But a few years ago it developed a problem; the tension roller which keeps the main drive belt taut has loosened. So the motor runs but nothing else moves. The tension roller is spring-loaded and the 'spring' is shot on it. With the back off, I can actully push the roller against the belt with a screwdriver and make the projector work temporarily. I wish there was a way to fix this and maybe there is... It's such a great projector.

  • @kcciiowa

that is a tough one to fix, have to take it all apart, and then might not be able to find the part.

@@kcciiowathanks for the reply. I have a couple other Bell & Howells that run well, but the RCA is my favorite. I'm hoping to find a "MacGyver" way to fix it. Also, I have many lamps for it...a photo store in my city going out of business sold their proj bulbs $1 ea. I bought them out!

The only building I’m glad isn’t on that road anymore. Went there once when I was a kid with my dad remember it was gross inside. It’s sad to see all that farm land and Saturdays market gone now tho. Same with the warehouses on 283. Honestly kind of disgusting from growing up there and going home every so often to visit. Makes me sad every time.
