The answer is nothing, organic food is organic food, Māori farmers don’t grow organic food different to any other farmer in NZ.

The sale of "biological polluting" plants is what makes my job as a weeder harder. Worse still is the continued sale of plants that spread myrtle rust into natural systems from the suburbs is going to cause massive population declines of threatened species.

I cant relate to this conversation at all. Some of us lowered our expectations and have been living simply for decades and knowing all Manu speaks of long, long ago.

Loved the whole conversation. So very grateful to you both, love how your thoughts and actions have integrity in alignment with your values. So many folks go through that wild arc of Silicon Valley and come out with some unhinged worldview to justify their lives and lifestyle, but you guys crunched the numbers, came to Aotearoa and cracked on with community and regeneration. Big ups Matthew and big ups Bmo! Loved to see the light shine on you, and great to get a bit more flowetry in my ears :)

Good episode, Matthew. Reminds me of a Nate Hagens lecture a few months back -- for a group of philanthropic investors, highly recommended. We've both followed energy vs. social policy for a very long time. It's at the taproot of everything. I wish there were easy answers emerging from these kinds of conversations. As he says, there are no solutions, just enlightened responses. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lmqCo9Z9pJbed9I.html

I feel like he does a great job of completely not offering any solution to the problem either that he has worked on or accomplished in his life or that he can recommend we do other than we just must get beyond this onto something else in a very vague format. I really wish the interviewer had asked the hard questions to him.

Thanks for the feedback. You might be interested in the segment beginning at 39:29 ("What we're proposing..."), which also directly relates to Tierra Valiente (Brave Earth), the project Alnoor has been co-stewarding and building in their bioregion. For a deeper dive, the "Post Capitalist Philanthropy" book offers a specific map of possible areas for funders to consider. We also discuss this in more detail in our conversation with co-author Lynn Murphy. Cheers

As much as i agree with Kay, i also disagree on a few key points. Hybrid is a broad term and was actually the way traditional people saved seeds before the commercial system came along. Creating natural hybrids is how we can keep genetic diversity and resilience alive and for backyard gardeners to keep smaller populations of plants that they can save seeds from. This is my personal experience and what I am working towards. Commercial hybrid plants that are kept for seed are grown in an environment where they are given fertilizers, sterile soil, sprayed with pesticides, and are grown in and under plastic. The seeds are not resilient at all and hence they do not thrive in a home garden without the same treatment. My experience with landrace seeds has been fantastic, growing without all the fuss and now I'm breeding my own so we can grow a resilient food system where its achievable for everyone to grow backyard vegetables

wild ginger is something Im battling in Far north....what a mission, Im stunned at how fast that stuff spreads. And now pampas is roaring in at breakneck speed, pines are being clearcut and the hills are becoming weed banks, where I had pines on neighbouring farm,it is now thick with flowering pampas....this is a national emergency I think...and I think we have an army willing to do the mahi if we could get the Govt to help with costs, the people will do the work. We care and we want to help our beautiful corner of paradise

You gotta love a "Greener" world" of higher-intelect; money-empowered - money making gimmicks; (of wealth empowered educators) which over-educates-up "and provides purchacable things of excessive convenience to purchace over & over- endeavors for to set an example-way-of-life for "their" local masses - oblieviously carrying on at converting all that The predominantly free of charge?Nature of god's provision can produce To convert into money wealth and Is subsequent food Source controlled power over others to feed "their" little money generators - ever-growinf mass-populations" over infesting the face of the earth: all for thier Diabolically higher intellect - Money empowered (earth-owning) hierarchy's. Really enjoying this series (thank you Ma Earth!) and in particular this episode where you get into metabolic processes - the example of the fish ponds in Hawai'i is epic. The theory of metabolic rift is super interesting for anyone who wants to read a little deeper into part of what Tom is describing as Epoch Two, particularly as it relates to the impact of colonisation on indigenous communities.

Thanks, sorry it wasn't included in the video. When moving funds from your exchange (e.g. Coinbase) to the wallet, you will be asked to select network. Use "Arbitrum One" (instead of "Ethereum") as the network selection. If you already have funds on Ethereum Mainnet and need to bridge them to Arbitrum, you can click "bridge" in MetaMask and follow the instructions, or use a popular tool like across.to Hope that helps!
