I record 4K videos of trains in Southern California. I do most of my work in 3 areas, Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, and the Inland Empire. Trains of all kinds are found here, including Metrolink, BNSF, Amtrak, Union Pacific, and LACMTA Light Rail.
My channel was created to document the Pasadena Subdivision, the historic Santa Fe route into Los Angeles, and remains a core focus of the channel. I like to record places and operations that not many people know about.
In addition to my work on the Pasadena Subdivision, I record at dozens of more places, such as Downtown LA, the Crestmore Branch, San Bernardino, Pomona, Cajon Pass, Redlands, Covina, Kaiser, and many more found in the playlists.
Common subdivisions and their associated branches in my home territory I record are:
SCRRA River Subdivision
SCRRA Pasadena Subdivision
SCRRA San Gabriel Subdivision
UP Alhambra Subdivision
UP Los Angeles Subdivision
BNSF Cajon Subdivision
SCRRA Shortway Subdivision

How do you know when the trains are coming thru the line
Sadly, everytime I watch your videos I see those filthy Taggers have vandalized more of those beautiful Locomotives with their junk names. It's the same over here in Europe. Eighter no one gives a crap or these young creeps have too many free speech rights to express themselves and cannot be touched by any Authorites. Clearly they grow up in households where parents don't give a crap either. What a world we live in. But do love your videos and the infrastructure work being done. Thanks again.
Amazing
This is awesome
glad you enjoyed this video!
@@PasadenaSubColin I love your content dude. Inspired to do the same.

Idk if you know but how many Metrolink PHR units pass on the san bernadino line?
depends on the day. I've seen as many as 3 of the 5 here in one day, while other's none have been here. there's 2 here right now to my knowledge
@@PasadenaSubColin thanks for telling me because i wanted to railfan the Fontana kaiser yard and see Metrolink trains pass around that area.

What time was this?

Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Nice work Colin
Nice videos! Glad to see testing is coming along smoothly. Right now, testing is controlled out of the Glendora construction office. There's no computer aided dispatch system for that section of the line yet, so they're doing it the old-school way with a diagram of the line and expo markers or magnets!
It's been fun to document these runs. Everything is going great from what i've heard on the inside too, and hopefully it will be carrying passengers around this time next year if not sooner!
Cool video
nice they're finally testing the existing foothill extension
Excellent Colin!
great video colin! what time do they usually run these test trains?
night. it was just daytime for this weekend unfortunately

Why did the engineer act like he had to PAY for each horn blast? 😕
Nice video but does BNSF still use ex gp60s with there original paint scheme or did the rebuild them?
A few are unrepainted, in La Mirada and Watson
Great video did they change the horn for 157?
Not that I know of
Former ATSF 157, Involved in 1996 Cajon Pass Runaway and Deraeilment.
