I have the highest coverage with 2-10, including added on coverage for pipe leak, roof leak, and septic system coverage. I was reluctant to renew my coverage a second year as I'd had issue getting help on weekends, but the sales associate assured me I could choose my own contractor in emergency situations like weekends and evenings. This couldn't be further from the truth. On a Sunday, my plumbing backed up and septic flooded into the bathrooms and bedrooms. I immediately contacted their "24-hours a day / 7 days a week line" after filing an online claim. I received an automated message indicating no one was available and to call back the following day. At that point, following the instructions on their website as this being classified as an emergency, contacted a plumber who diagnosed a main pipe break from the house to the septic, which is indicated as covered under my optional add-on "Septic System" "Coverage: line from Serviceable Area to septic tank." I have just spent an hour trying to reach customer service to get this reasonable claim reimbursed, only to speak to two people in claims who denied covering this for two reasons: - I didn't get it pre-authorized - again, this happened on a weekend, when no one was available from their "24/7 7 days a week line." - The pipe failing wasn't normal wear and tear - which is a diagnosis from a claims agent on a phone call. I'm not sure how she diagnosed this as normal wear and tear, when my plumber and I weren't sure what happened with the pipe. In the end, they offered $50 as a courtesy toward the services for an $800 service call. I pay over $1300 a year for coverage. I should have saved the $1300 so I could pay for my own repairs.

Would just like to let anyone know that this company is impossible to work with and should be avoided at all costs. On three different occasions, they did not have people to send to the house and told me to reach out to a local company. However, their policy is that anything over 200 dollars you have to call their phone line to get it confirmed with one of their agents that the amount is valid. But I have been on the line waiting for someone to pick up for over an hour every time (not just busy times of the week like a random Tuesday it still takes 45-60 minutes). So, for example, you get a plumber to the house because you need a garbage disposal. He gives you a quote of like 550 for a new system and the labor to put it in, then you're supposed to call and sit there for an hour while you and the plumber make small talk I guess? Eventually I gave up, told the plumber to do the work, then submitted a claim online. To which they took months to pay me out for, and still charged an extra 80 dollars because the plumber cleaned the work area and "they don't cover that". This was also after calling 3 times in the days leading up to the appointment having their idiot call center people assure me that submitting the claim online would be fine. All and all, 2-10 can get fucked and please got to one of the better companies like American Shield or Liberty Guard. Thanks for listening to my ted talk I am now going to post this comment on all of their videos! 😀

This company sucks. No customer service what so ever. Their contractors suck too, the first one sent it to fix my ac just quit answering calls. They sent another one, this guy can't figure out where the parts are for the ac. You can't talk to anyone when you call 2-10 unless you choose an option on the recording that sounds like you want to give them credit card info. They suck plain and simple.

Never from 2-10!!! We have a home warranty with them and have now been without a refrigerator for over a week waiting on them to approve the parts list for repairs that was submitted to them six days ago. Their MO is to wait you out so that you just give up and purchase the replacement item yourself. We ended up doing that with an A/C unit in Arizona during the summer after two weeks. Check out your homeowners insurance you can get riders and it will not impact your rates and they actually repair or replace items unlike 2-10. We have called every day and they keep telling us you need to talk to this department - which never answers. We allowed it to ring during their working hours for over two hours and still never picked up. Your company is a joke! We are cancelling and giving you a lot of free "publicity" especially to all of our realtor friends.

You shouldn't buy a home warranty from 2-10. The sellers on my house required a 60 days leaseback because of today's market, so I was unable to move in until day 60 which put me over the 45 day reimbursement window for the door and lock replacement and 2-10 wouldn't allow me to use the door/lock program. I was extremely disappointed they would not work with extenuating circumstances.

Our heater isn’t working and 2-10 sent their contractor out two weeks ago. A replacement part is needed and 2-10 has sent the wrong part TWO times to their contractor. We have been without heat and 2-10 seems to have given up on helping us. Very dissatisfied with their service. Long hold times on phone and none of the reps can give me any info. I have been told supervisors will call me back, and then those return calls never come. Their contractor has stated he just needs them to authorize the part, which is readily available at local supply house, but 2-10 continues to drag their feet. I strongly advice against using their services.

I had a terrible water leak back in October. You could not provide someone to come out until almost two days. In the meantime, my house and flooding because the valve could not be turned off. The city had to come and turned the water off. I contacted your representative and received a confirmation to proceed with finding an outside contacted. They fixed the issue, I submitted the paper work and invoice for over $580. I called twice to see about the status of my reimbursement only to be told that I would only receive $120 back. The lack of communication your service representative had, the rational in knowing I indicated my house was flooding and in the day of a global pandemic when we are told to wash our hands, you would have rather for me to wait until a day and a half for one of your technicians to arrive. How heartless of a company are you and to take advantage at this unfortunate time in American history. You are that company the only cares about the bottom line verse the care and well being of your clients. I would not recommend and will blast this incident all over social media.

My friends building company hired a framer that missed a load point. Everyone missed it including the City building inspector. The kitchen settled. Cracked the expensive kitchen cabinets and load bearing wall. Nothing fit. The homeowner was livid. The warranty kicked in. Great product. It's just insurance. Plain and simple. Fixed $50K worth of damage. Well worth an extra few hundred.
