  got my elbow dislocated in a Judo class. Good things that one of the instructor is a doctor so i got my elbow popped back in just like 3 minutes after the dislocation so it's not too painful (except when i got home and the andrenalins went out tho).

  @@Ymir2002 no. My instructor said the cast is mainly there to prevent me moving the arm. So if i want to spend more money for it then ok but i don’t need it. I just put on a strap to prevent it from moving wildly.

  I really wish this was that easy for me. They tried to put me out with Kenalog...(not sure if that's right) he didn't get it. Another dose of Kenalog* ,still didn't get it...and tried Again!!!! Nope! So, I had surgery the next day. I am very Thankful for pain control but not the ego fueled doctor. No way should he should of tried 3 times tho! Both leg bones and ankle were broken, that was his 1st clue!

  Broke my ankle 5 months ago with a dislocation, they knocked me out to reduce and had surgery 12 hours later … I’ll never forget the sound. I’m glad they knocked me out, apparently there was a lot of bones squishing around with it being a trimal

  How are you doing now Robs ? As a fellow trimalleolar sufferer ,im just curious what a nightmare ! I had mine end of August I'm walking unaided,but limping still 😔 I've have 2plates & 14 screws !

  @@paulinemanifold436 just had 4 screws pulled out last week and healing from that, follow up with surgeon tomorrow. Was walking 7km a day a month ago but was pretty sore by mid day. Hoping hardware coming out helps

  Most likely they did do a post reduction xray. The reduction is a feel, specially at the joint when it's felt going back into alignment. The goal is to get it into an acceptable and stable anatomical alignment. Depending on the fracture, then subsequent surgical planning might be involved.

  Different places & different hospitals in the world may have different PPE protocols. I live in the middle of nowhere in america & always was in places requiring gloves for giving injections // iv fluids, handling waste // dirty laundry, & performing or assisting doctors in invasive procedures.
