  I agree. Fournier is much freer and more emotionally involved in these recordings than he is in his later recordings for DG. These are peerless.

  Now I see his unusual bowing on no1 Prelude. His Bach cello suite music sheet was most selling in the 80s yet no one was following his bowing as most people couldn’t figure out why so.
