You can rest assured that you, indeed, have been an inspiration to many, and have been a vocal and supportive voice in shaping the community into a wonderful environment to live and raise a family. Some residents live here without knowing the backstory of hard-fought changes you have helped to fashion. For those of us who fought beside you, we are well aware of your well-reasoned, consistent efforts, despite the nay-saying, tempest-in-a-teapot, horrific, unfounded accusations that were hurled at you. Roosevelt Island sincerely owes you a huge debt of gratitude for placing yourself on the line over so many years, and putting one foot in front of the other, despite baseless personal attacks, to make our community the best it can be. You truly deserve a medal!
