5. Plesioth (hitbox) 4. Khezu (roars 99.9% of the f***ing time) 3. Cephadrome (as stated...sand) 2. Nibelsnarf (same as 3 but more annoying moveset) 1. Kushala Daora before Rise and Sunbreak (don't have a problem with wind aura, just it's airtime)

Usually I'd try to defend the Piscine Wyverns, but I have lyrics to a Piscine Wyvern diss track so I had to name-drop some of their abilities. Anyway I nominate Lunagaron. If unoriginality had a fan club, Luna would be in it, and if that fan club disbanded, he'd start it right back up. I'm not sure I'm right here, but he stole Zamtrios's ice armor and then has the gall to act like some kind of poor man's Odogaron without being fun to fight or having an actually fun gimmick to call it's own. And even though Goss Harag does almost the exact same thing, at least its gimmick is fun to play around with and the fight ain't horrible 99.01% of times.
Okay, Almudron isn't that bad. Actually, I kinda enjoy his fight.

I like how many of this annoying fights are basically, an old monster with janky hitboxes or a new monster with janky hitboxes. Lavasioth in generations was for me a fun fight, but world had to make things "unique" by making the monsters annoying, in many cases, with unfair mechanics or prolonged hitboxes, which is my main issue with ragging brachy in world for example... If i did a list it would be rajang first, kushala daora world version, and many more from iceborne, i dont know how they did it, but adding hunter potato movement on a expansion with ffast as hell monsters was dumb. At least in rise you can be as fast as then, it feels ffun not frustratingg.

tip: in world you can use fire weapons to make lavasioth's skin glow so you do not have to wait for him to do it and DO NOT USE ice or water weapons they cool the parts faster. Almudron is cancer I hate this monster xD.

Gold Rathian has to take the cake never lands, flash bombs don't work in Ice-borne, tailspin even when blocked moves you around in ways where it is easy to get hit on the back and lastly the most infuriating move to GL main the charged fireball even with max evade extender you can't back hop fast or far enough to avoid the explosion forcing you to block it the tempered one that most often appears in grinding lands takes half your hp with this move even when you have 15-20 fire resistance and level 5 block with all the pressure it's really hard to put away your weapon and potion. Basically forcing you to engaging waiting for health augment to kick in but if you get hit it's night night oh and did I mention she does not like to land so even hitting her out of air can be a pain.

Some personal "favorites" of mine Shogun Ceanataur - That extended claw always manages to reach me no matter where I am or how I dodge Tigrex (old gen) - Basically a neverending lawnmower and without the better movement in gen5, especially in Rise, it's a pain to get close to it when it stops for once Basarios (old gen) - Bouncing off bouncing off bouncing off All of the giant ass monsters like Lao Shan, Shen Gaoren, Jhen Mohran, Zorah Magdaros because they are so so boring

Last year I did a full series replay of Monster Hunter. I genuinely would not suggest anyone go out of their way to play MH1 because of how absurdly annoying several monsters are in that game, straight up mind numbing

Couldnt agree more about capcom tend to made fish monsters annoying. Mainly the "sioth"s 😂 still new with rise but i found rathalos is more nightmare-ish monsters for me then any monsters in HR, and still didnt face any elders. Still learning but really enjoy the experiences 🫰

I still stand by the point that Lavasioth was a fun fight UNTIL world decided to give it the mechanics as a poor man’s Agnaktor, despite not digging nearly as much and has armour that hardens even quicker If they didn’t pull a world and slap on a unneeded mechanic it would be fine

All the problems you mention with the cephadrome I feel with Black Diablos. They’re so much time where they can’t be hit and even when it’s in recovery it’s usually after a charge or jump that put them on the other side of the arena so you can’t punish it.

- lavasioth can be kept soft with torch pods and fire weapons - the only pic i dont agree with is raging brachy in iceborne, this one can cover the map yes but you have the tools to stop it Like.. Compared to super brachy in 3u (super fast explosion spammer enraged 90% of the hunt... my god the nightmare) and raging brachy in 4u where your attacks make the arm explode on yourself,, iceborne raging is enough of a upgrade to make it fun but very difficult - oh oh you have so many monsters to add later in the list, the ever running tigrex, any kushala pre rise, the time staller plesioth, possibly even diablos when it digs so often (i miss monoblos that stays for longer on the ground) Some people might say uragaan or gobul but i really like them compared to how people find them annoying

...We went a whole "most annoying monster" video without Plesioth somehow. Torch pods and fire weapons on a hunting buddy do make Lavasioth less annoying. It's kind of just forgettable to me. Raging Brachydios I actually enjoyed despite its insane difficulty, though.

I hate Barioth, fighting him is a real chore when he leaps from one end of any given area to the other repeatedly. Having to do a 100 meter sprint to get a single hit in every 15-20 seconds is a pain in the rear

Both the Diablos and Rathalos are annoying to fight in World, and the biggest problem is their pacing; Diablos and Rathalos are introduced as hunting targets a bit too soon for most new players.

I feel like I'm in the minority because Lavasioth was actually really easy to predict and stagger even without a cooling drink, he kinda just staggered and fell down Might be because I'm used to fighting Jyuratadus he just came off as a fire version of him

Raging Brachy is so cool, and I have to admit, when I saw him pop up I was scratching my head. That is, until I saw that you were fighting him with a hammer. In World, I too was a hammer main. Fights like raging brachy and tigrex made me pick up the lance for its counter and guard capabilities. Also, the high pokes reach his otherwise way-too-high head. With hammer, you have to go to the ledges in every area and spam jumping attack.

ok as a pretty average player i agree raging brachy is really hard, but so are most end game monsters like him, they’re all hyper aggressive with cracked out movement and hit like a truck, his slime doesn’t seem all that bad to deal with compared with…well the entire rest of the fight lol, plus it’s really cool and cinematic!! and at least you get the whole 50 minutes to deal with him (side eyeing alatreon REAL HARD now *that’s* an annoying bullshit gimmicky ass fight)

Great video, but I disagree with the three annoying monsters. The opinion is subjective to personal experiences, so I'm sure each of these entries comes from some 40 minutes of being tossed. As I would too lol. I for one had mad beef with Malfestio, I could never parry that damned bubble. But nah bro Plesieoth is way more annoying that Cephadrome, don't even get me started on the fishing. Almudron is cool and only really annoying if you don't put your weapon up to jump over all the mud. Never fought Raging brachy by myself so I can't say much. The sentiment really seams like if the monster is constantly taking away your turn then it gets pretty annoying. Haven't completed my playthrough of 3U, but I'm sure to be in for it.

I actually didn't have that much trouble with Almudron, mostly because I used hammer and the wirebug move that lets me do the jump spin attack is kinda broken for getting out of situations like that + hitting its tail while raised
