  This is a call out to any other austral owners. I own a 23 plate austral and it has broken down already after only 5000 miles. Had the RAC out today and he said this is the 3rd austral he has attended recently and all of them have had the same problem as mine. A yellow injection problem fault shows up on the dash and the engine misfires. Mine registered as cylinder 3 fault. Coil and sparkplug ok. If many more have the same fault, surely renault will have a recall of all austral vehicles.

  The plastic pop up heads up, like on my aunt's Mazda 2 ha ha? Horrible SUV, drinks more petrol, causes more damage to roads (heavier) and is 7cm shorter than the hatch. It's nonsense to say it's planted, it's higher than the hatch. Feels like being on top floor of bus. The saloon 3 is the sweet spot in the trio, as less thirsty than hatch and looks better. But everyone will flock to CX30 cos looks like offroader with big plastic wheel trims. You'll get stuck in the mud if you try it tho 😅 Ridiculous unnecessary car, of slight help to OAPS sliding into car cos bad hips and NHS waiting lists. Buy a 3 saloon, it looks boss, massive boot for golf clubs and if you're OAP and knacker hips, NHS will have to act at A & E if they're that bad.

  I had one of these on testing & the touch screen constantly tripped out going on & off for at least 30 mins for 7 days straight. The screen’s have loads of issues

  Let’s get real. The tyres on most models and the one featured are Goodyear Wrangler HT or Highway Terrain. The clue is in the word ‘highway’. They are great on the road and off it in the dry but pretty useless when it gets really slippery. 4wd is pretty much essential on damp grass on the slightest slope. AT tyres are available of course and they stand for All Terrain. These are far better and a better compromise for working vehicles where its potential is at least somewhat explored. Don’t get me wrong though, these are excellent tyres for roads and towing and off road in high traction conditions. It is a great vehicle, no doubt about it. My 2014 Ranger is good but the 2023 new generation is great with the 202hp 2 litre twin turbo mated to 10 speed auto with a two speed transfer box. It’s a pity that the Wildtrak doesn’t come standard with surround cameras and the Power Pack in the UK though. Especially the Power Pack which adds so much for so little cost.

  I have 2021 wildtrack on a 3 year lease lots of upgrade on the new one, looking forward to get the new one next year. Highly recommend them. Had a land cruiser the ranger is almost half the price of the land cruiser and like it much more.

  @@Tjw1 hi mate. I’m not sure TBH. It may be an extra…. Mine is the wildtrak, but didn’t come with it. I absolutely love it though and it comes with a lot as standard, so I’m not too fussed about the 3 pin plug or wireless charging pad. I look forward to driving it all the time. Get one!!!

  @@Tjw1 I’ve got a limited company and it’s a lease vehicle through the company, so great for tax! Getting a truck man colour coded hard top fitted end of July so hopefully should be ok with regards to rain. I’ve already done 2k miles in it and it’s lovely to drive. You won’t be disappointed

  That’s the Power Pack that is not standard on UK Wildtrak and some dealers have forgotten to order it for their stock order cars. It adds the inverter with 240V socket, switch pack on the ceiling along with pre-wiring for accessories, the wireless phone charger and the USB on the rear view mirror housing for a dash cam. Those that did not order this should be shot at dawn in my opinion.
