I am still surprised how much media coverage they gave to Bundy for the Chi Omega trial and not for the Kimberly Leach trial. We never got to hear the full details of the Kimberly Leach trial sadly.

I've read the very little that Dr. Carlisle has released and I can only hope law enforcement and psychologists have seen it all. Other writers have covered the actaul 2nd Escape in more detail, and Kevin Sullivan's 'catalogs' collect most of these. He also has a few questions listed that he continues to search for - that's pretty terrific - as a writer to point to the gaps and how future research can help.

“The Oaks” burned down in the late ‘90s, and is now a parking lot. The oak tree that gave it its name, however, still stands…

Ted Bundy was not mentally ill. He was a childish narcissist, but that’s not a mental illness.

The second floor of the sorority house was all reconfigured so it would be more difficult to identify where the rooms were and future sorority girls would not get creeped out staying in one of those rooms! In addition The Oaks eventually burned down but that big tree is still there!

Coleman was delusional. Bundy was sane...EVIL, but sane....he knew exactly what he wanted to do, and he did it.

  • @orangewarm1

It's not delusion, he's his lawyer. His job is raise doubt.

  • @Romulan2469

Coleman wasn't delusional, he was doing his job to try and get a stay of execution for Bundy. I'm sure he knew it was futile but he had to do his job and I commend him for doing that, regardless of Bundy's actions. We are all glad however that the supreme court rejected the appeal and justice was allowed to be served.

The psychiatrist was correct. He was competent to stand trial as he was aware of his actions and understood the charges he was facing. He was just a high functioning manipulative psychopath and there are plenty of those in society and not all of them are serial killers.

Not to mention all the ones who cry " I'm depressed and have multiple personalities and ptsd then get slaps on their wrists!!
