I spend a couple of month every year in CM, the other time I'm back in Stockholm Sweden working. I stay in a muban in Hang Dong with my girlfriend, and yes we have security but they don't check anyone just let anyone in. But i feel so much safer in CM then I do in Stockholm. Sweden used to be very safe, but not anymore, I will move to CM as soon as I can.

Agree with you. In terms of crime CNX is safe but road safety or pedestrian safety then it is not so much. Just look at the condition of sidewalks and traffic signals. For many drivers a red light is a suggestion. I have been to SIN and just about every driver and pedestrian actually followed traffic signals. Always felt safe in SIN but my head is always on a swivel when I walk. One never knows what Thai drivers are thinking. Especially drivers who wear more than one amulet. I once had a taxi driver who wearing five amulets. This was concering and he drove like Max Max.

Thailand looks like an excellent place for a vegan to retire to. If you haven't watched the Netflix health documentary, "The Game Changers" yet, I highly recommend that you do so. "The Game Changers" recommends switching to a plant-based diet to improve health and athletic performance. I lost 63.8 pounds by switching to a plant-based diet, and I'm stronger today at age 67 years and 9 months than when I was an active-duty United States Marine Corps 0331 M-60 Machine Gunner. I'm thinking about retiring in a foreign country, like Thailand or the Philippines, but wherever I retire to, I want to eat a well-balanced plant-based diet.

Caving is dodgy as, when the kids were young i would take them caving locally, one cave has a tiny narrow entrance then you crawl on your stomach for 50metres before it opened up, i wouldn't do it now, its scary when you turn the light off and the ceiling is only inches away. Serious topic - TL bewilders me in they have very strict laws on defamation etc but the side walks and some roads are a HUGE safety issue, i don't know how the Local Authorities aren't taken to task when someone gets injured, as for crossing the road at walk ways/ lights that's a HUGE Elephant/truck. i hope they read this, and think we could fix up said issues and create some more employment opportunities, just take the required funds from the tourism slush funds (plenty of $$$ in there😁😇) guess i'm wasting my valuable oxygen on this subject, off to the naughty corner for bringing up a Valid issue.🤔🤐🤕

Vaping is unregulated. There have been health issues due to harmful chemicals added to them in the past and will no doubt happen in the future. The one that got into the headlines with the advent of vaping in the us was the use of a very poisonous chemical causing a lung condition nicknamed “popcorn lung “. This chemical, previously banned from use in those popcorn packages that you could just put in the oven and would expand automatically while the popcorn popped, ( the chemical produces a buttery taste ), and in vaping it also produces a very pleasant smooth sensation but resulted in serious lung damage.
