Very cool to think how Mozart transcribed this exact fugue in his KV 405 transcriptions of Bach's fugues to string quartets and ended up using the fugue motif in the last movement of his Jupiter symphony!

Why would the fugue be in an andante tempo when it's noted as alla breve? Pretty sure it's not intended to have a beat at 38 bpm.

Its undoubtledy CHOPIN EVERYTHING from the unending bass line to the C sharp minor with those annoying double sharps and the ethereal darkness of his melodic line. he probably didnt bother putting it in chains and cataloguing it and then died while w0rkijg on something else. As a Phd in music, once you look at every single one of his nocturnes this is just another very well written masterpiece by Frederic.

I feel sad for you by saying this, but this is confirmed not to be composed by Chopin. Someone else made it in his style and tried to pass of as an original
