French Bulldogs captured my heart instantly upon seeing one, and their puppies are undeniably among the cutest you'll ever encounter.

Yeah, but there is also the fact that there are males who will wait for someone else to do the hard work of searching, then just steal that pebble for themselves so they dont have to hunt for a rock. . . Lol

They're the closest thing we've got to tree-dwelling puppies. They're also among the most adaptable animals around, part of a small number of animals that learned to not just live alongside humans, but absolutely thrive. Too bad they're can carry such a massive number of human-tranmissable diseases. Being a rabies-vector species makes them more *potentially* lethal than almost any other animal you would ever come across in the US. 😕

But adaptations may evolve for one reason and have an unintended benefit by reducing the overall parasites, and germs on food making it better for them. Allowing them to use less energy fighting them off to allow for bigger healthier raccoons. Kind of like how we started cooking that made food safer and the nutrients more bioavailable. Which for us lead to bigger brains, eventually.
