    What is the S.R.& R.L? In the US, there was and again is a narrow gauge road in the state of Maine called the Sandy River & Rangely Lakes.

    I think it's a miniature version of Sandy River no 24, on the back of the toolbox on the tender Sandy River is written out. there is a live steam model from Roundhouse in garden railway scale.

    The three green atlantics, Victory, Vanguard and Valliant were built by the Southern Miniature Railway. They were used at various miniature railways in the south of England including Poole.

    Morwellham Quay really is the most wonderful place. I remember going there with a girlfriend a few times in the early 80's and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Everything about the place is fantastic and I would urge everyone to visit it at least once in their lives. Its the sort of place that makes you feel like you really have time travelled and you wish you could stay there.

    It's lucky to have survived it was neay ripped up a few years ago it looks in much better shape now after the orr got involved after a runaway down the bank But that is history nuff said soonest mended great line been on it times on my own as a child and with my children as an adult never fails to please I remember riding on the open wagons with park benches on so some improvement there you don't get wet when it rains now that happens a lot in England good luck to the te that run it I do know how hard they work as I do know odd members of the team
