That was a very narrow exit.. I did ok first time I rode motorbike abroad years ago... coming back through Calais to use the tunnel it was very well signposted and when I made a tiny error in direction to catch train I realised right away and corrected it.. As usual the minute I returned to Blighty the heavens opened up..

Yep i just checked P&O ferry fleet and it's one of their older tubs! I use DFDS and theirs are more modern and luxurious than P&O. The food is over priced crap tho!! It's better to starve!

The video cuts from the lorry approaching the port of Calais to being on the ferry. The UK border agency have staff based in Calais and most of their customs and immigration checks are done in France before the truck is allowed on the ferry.Additional checks may carried out in Dover from time to time if staff are available.

So many people underestimate the amazing skills of truck drivers. I rate them all highly, as without them, those people who moan about getting stuck behind them on the roads, are those who depend on these people to deliver their Internet purchases and food shopping.

If you think this is bad you haven't driven a truck. I have over twenty years experience on artics driving on roads in the UK you wouldn't believe possible for a semi as you guys like to call them.
