Hey pat, or anyone else. Where do you buy the temporary centre stand you ears in this video. How do you describe it. I’ve got a 2008 f800st and would love that kind of stand for maintenance. Really useful vid👍

Cheers for this. Wished I’d looked at your comments though prior to me ordering a 45mm socket which ppl told me in the forums. Just a quick one, the eccentric tensioner, middle bolt just backs out? Mine gets stiff and don’t wanna strip anything.

The two side bolts clamp the eccentric circle closed. So you need to loosen them first. Then tap a wedge in the rear gap to open it slightly. The middle tensioner bolt works by forcing the bearing housing to rotate changing the centering of the bearing and hence the tension. You may find the whole eccentric is sized in place.

Do you have a problem with vibration on the front end near the engine head? My vibrates at 3,500rpm and above. Is this normal for this bike? It is awful when riding at 80mph. The vibration on the handlebar and front is going to fall apart. Any idea?

I experience engine vibration on this bike which i could not figure out. above 3500 rpm and worst when ride at high speed.

You are a hypocrite cos you also jumped the lights. You were almost at the second stop line when they turned green. It’s substantially annoying and dangerous for cyclists like me waiting in the cycle area for green when motorists behind don’t do the same and are practically up my arse by the time I’m moving off (which is when they should also be).

I've known cyclists in Holland to be fined for jumping red lights. Once upon a time we used to have fairly decent law and order here in the UK, but now we just mostly have thug Police, especially in the MET.

Cycling to work the other night the lights went amber so I stopped at short notice, no not because I thought that I'd get free amber nectar, a pedestrian was waiting to cross. He looked at me and then on my right a righteous brother sped thru on the by then red. The original post was 7 years ago and nothing has changed.

Cyclists are road users like everyone else driving a vehicle. So they should have to pass a test, get a licence, pay road tax and take out minimum third party insurance. Simple!

As a law-abiding cyclist it infuriates me when I see other cyclists brazenly disregarding road traffic laws, as we all get tarred with the same brush. Confiscate their bikes and make them pay a hefty fine for their return...that should help sort this out...

Yes you are correct. A lorry did pull out onto the roundabout, as do most vehicles that are sat waiting at them. What point are trying to make here as I'm sure he wasn't just planning on sitting at the entrance for the next week with his feet up or is this a Lorry spotters video and you were just admiring how nice it was?
