  Any spacer is a bad idea, hub centric or not. It pushes the weight of the car farther out on the hub, which accelerates bearing failure. High negative offset wheels have a similar effect, but are technically less abrasive. The only place you shoild use a wheel soacer is between the wheels on a dually, and even then only if you arent putting a shit ton of weight on it.

  @@xboxice2005 I don’t know they were outlawed by road traffic inspectors, wheels were falling off when axle studs broke and the increased track width was not allowed due to load on wheel bearings and tyres riding outside the protecting body panels plus more but it’s a defect in Australia

  There is no reason to fit spacers on cars. There is no benefit. People only do it because they want a stupid JDM ricer stance look or to make incorrect wheel sizes fit. If you want wider tires on an E82 these are the correct sizes: Front 225/40/18 Rim 7.5 Rear 255/35/18 Rim 8.5. You have to actually buy good rims like Breyton Race GTSR, or Apex. Here's a list of problems created by spacers: -Added weight -Messed up geometry -Fenders rubbing & rusting (if you actually drive fast ex. Autobahn) -Increased turning radius -More maintenance & dirt & rocks thrown up Heres a list of benefits:
