  as a jazz sax player for 50 yers, most of my practice is swing, so this funky rock is a nice sexy change of pace. yes, the key to this is dorian scales for minor and mixolydian scales for dominant 7th chords. of course pentatonic and blues scale always works. Nice groove, like a Steelly Dan feel
