There are actually two ways of saying 'Thank you' in Korean. One is what I have in the video 감사합니다 (Gam sa hap ni da) The other is 고맙습니다 (Go map soup ni da) They are both commonly used, but I found BTS mostly saying 감사합니다. and I myself also say 감사합니다 far more than 고맙습니다, so I only included 감사합니다 in the video. You can say whatever is more comfortable to remember and say! 감사합니다 for tuning in! 💜

Another very nice video :) I am curious on one thing about Korea, and that's the healthcare. I live in the US and, of course, everything is extremely expensive here healthcare wise. Seriously, it has got to the point where I haven't gone to the hospital even if I should, because I know it will cost a lot of money. I am a type 1 diabetic and if you don't have insurance, insulin is outrageously expensive. In the past I have paid $150 for just a 3 day supply of insulin because I ran out of it too early. I am curious if you know the prices of common medicines/prescriptions or the average cost of a doctors visit for example. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Hi Carson! National health insurance is actually one of the things I'm very grateful for and proud of as a Korean. Because of the fairly cheap cost and easy access to doctor's clinics (there are just so many!), I find that Koreans see a doctor far more often than Americans, even for a minor illness like a cold or a small injury. During my 15 years of living in the US, I only went to the doctor twice, whereas here in Korea, I'd go 3~4 times a year. Even that's not very often in Korea because I know some people who go every month. Most of your essential medical care is covered by national insurance, so I'd say about one doctor's visit and medicine/prescription altogether cost around $10, maybe more depending on your situation and additional costs if you run any tests. My dad also has diabetes and his doctor's visit and medicine cost around $40 each month. Well, Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you stay healthy!! :)
