    Howdy, like your show. Saw your pf as a coffee table. I have a hobbit pf I boxed up (about 15 cm deep) with a pf glass on top and inside the box under the pf led lights. Sits on top of a coffee table but with legs would fit your area. Just an idea. Hope that’s clear as mud. All the best.

    That's a great idea. So basically an enclosed box with LED inside to project thru the inserts? Maybe I can do something like that someday.

    @@duffysarcade412 I have dowel thru the pf holding the glass floating about 3 cm above the pf. The dowel rests on the box floor. The bottom of the box at the ends there are supports to hold the pf of the bottom, room for lighting. My Hobbit pf if new and signed. The challenge was to have nothing touching the pf of attached to it. At the player end I made a wood top. The is a difference in glass length and pf length. That also covers the not so nice cut outs that end. Also allows top access.

    On a game like Donkey Kong which uses a 4 way joystick. Do you have to buy a joystick that is specifically a 4 way or is there an adjustment for an 8 way joystick to make it behave like a 4 way joystick. I got a gift of an X-Arcade tankstick from a friend and it has 8 way joysticks on it.

  • @duffysarcade412
    @duffysarcade4127 ай бұрын

    Great question which I forgot to talk about in the video. There is a restrictor that comes with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT. It's a clear plate that can be snapped onto the bottom in one of two ways depending if you need 4 or 8-way control.

  • @duffysarcade412
    @duffysarcade4127 ай бұрын

    But you can also download the restrictor from Thingiverese and print one (if you have a 3d printer). I did this on the Cuphead bc I didn't have the right restrictor. Maybe it's available for the joystick you have.

    You'd figure that you would see more of the European games in European countries. Whenever I see video's of arcades in Europe, they rarely have more than a few non-American made games. There were quite a few European pinball manufacturers even though they mostly left the business at/before Bally/Williams exited.

  • @duffysarcade412

  • @duffysarcade412
    @duffysarcade4128 ай бұрын

    Yep, in this case I would roll or brush a small amount of self-leveling clearcoat. It levels itself out and ends up absolutely flat and basically invisible. Spraying works of course, but on small areas I've used this method with good results.

    The Gottlieb Collection Wii game had a twist that ratcheted up the difficulty. Completing a drop target bank downstairs would open the re-entry gate. But if the ball hit a pop bumper the gate would shut. So you had to complete a target bank again.

  • @duffysarcade412
    @duffysarcade4127 ай бұрын

    Yep, that's what made Black Hole very different than Haunted House. A lot of people don't like Black Hole because of that feature...and I wish it was an option that could be turned off with a DIP switch.

  • @augustusrooster4735
    @augustusrooster473510 ай бұрын

    Really cool game. Played it some as a kid, then played it a bunch on the Wii. Cool rule set with a lot of interplay between objectives on the 2 levels. My strategy: -Complete the lower level 3 bank twice to advance the lane shot to Extra ball -Go back upstairs and collect EB -Work on the Black Hole drops to get triple scoring downstairs -Go downstairs and rack up bonus and advance bonus multiplier -Get multiball! Easier said than done of course

  • @duffysarcade412
