Pangea Reptile

Pangea Reptile

Owner Matthew Parks started Pangea Reptile LLC in 2001 with the breeding of geckos and small-scale sale of dry goods. Several years later we have now grown into one of the largest online sellers of reptile food, products, and quality geckos. We are constantly growing and expanding our line of products and services to meet our customer needs.

But the real story behind every one of Pangea Reptile LLC’s products and specimens is the spirit of discovery that Matt experienced on his first chance encounter with a crested gecko. This spark of wonder woven through our business makes us strive to be innovators over salesmen, scientists instead of staff, and craftsmen rather than breeders.

Our goal is to use this energy to have the very best customer service in the industry as well as the finest animals and products available.

We hope through our KZread channel to encourage education and serve our customers through a visual medium. Thank you for tuning in!

    Similar, but not quite! While all rollie pollies are isopods, not all isopods can roll up! These ones can't, but species in the Armadillidium and Cubaris genera can!

    Hello, how often would you recommend the sponges be cleaned?

  • @RealPangeaReptile

    We recommend cleaning them monthly, or whenever they become noticeable dirty; whichever comes first.

    Groups of females certainly can do well, but careful considerations have to be taken to ensure they don't see each other as challengers for resources. Experienced keepers like you can definitely provide that proper care, but in general, we would recommend most keepers avoid that risk.

    Is bamboo a good wood to use?

  • @RealPangeaReptile
    @RealPangeaReptile16 күн бұрын

    Many keepers have reported that bamboo can grow mold quickly in more humid enclosures. However, this can be mitigated with cleaning or a bioactive clean-up crew.

    I have a question what is the difference between the regular Pangea crested gecko food and the breeding and growth version bc I’m looking to get one and if the breeding and growth one actually has a difference then I will get it

  • @RealPangeaReptile
    @RealPangeaReptile21 күн бұрын

    Thanks for asking! The Growth and Breeding formula has higher levels of protein and fat from insect sources, as well as the maximum calcium levels recommended for a crested gecko. These differences exist to promote growth in young geckos, and to help breeding adults stay healthy.

    We actually don't know what his parents look like since the breeder he originated from didn't keep good records. That being said, we do know that genetically, he's a strong yellow tiger, so it's very likely that his parents were both yellow tigers as well.
