I had a stillbirth last year. My beautiful daughter was 25 weeks and fought so hard. I spent the day of her birth with her, and made precious memories, knowing that I would soon have to say goodbye forever. A friend of mine said “damn, I don’t know how you did that. I wouldn’t have been able to look at it.” 🥴

“Do you know what they call a doctor who graduated last in their class? A doctor.” - something I have said MANY times while explaining some of the stupid shit that’s been said and done with regards to my bipolar treatment.

"I'm bipolar. Give me lithium." - Yikes. There are so many people in this country who are poisoned spiritually by big pharma. They don't wanna foster recovery, they want to foster life-long patients.

That's extremely weird that they didn't give you meds to help sleep. I work in a psychiatric unit. Bipolar patients are regularly medicated for sleep meds. Fake fainting is what causes medical staff not to believe psych patients. The staff knew this was fake.

I was admitted for severe panic attacks. They did nothing to help me, they just drugged me. I left having severe panic attacks. I guess they cured me because I didn't feel like going to the hospital anymore for feeling like I was dying. I figured I'd rather die than go back to the psych ward.

And if she’s like most women, she won’t actually tell the guy she started dating. He’ll have to figure it out himself after she goes off her meds. And if anyone thinks that’s cruel of me to say, no, that’s called personal experience.

I hate how once doctors find out someone has ANY kind of mental flaw, no matter how minor, all other symptoms or conditions MUST be "imaginary". I wonder how many people actually end up with long term serious illness or death over issues/symptoms that could have easily been investigated/treated before they became major issues because the complaints were ignored. Bet its an astonishingly high number

I was on 1200 mg of Lithium in the psyche ward and it basically made me a zombie. They slowly decreased my Lithium dosage until now I don't take it at all (still on other psyche meds) and I'm doing great now.

I had a friend who was always talking about privilege.. specifically white privilege. Meanwhile, her entire college was paid for at a top university by her parents, some of her wedding, her car, and some of the down payment for her house. 🤦‍♀️ Not that privilege doesn’t exist, but it was pretty out of touch that the most privileged person in the room was the loudest about other people’s privilege

It would be so easy to take out our country. The welcomed chemical dependency is nuts. Bipolar disorder does not require medication unless you allow it. Once you start you are likely never to learn how to manage it without.
