    Salam alaykum. You'll find racists everywhere, but I love seeing people from other cultures at metal shows. Metal doesn't have to be in English. I love Bloodywood from India and Alien Weaponry sings in Maori. If you have recommendations for metal bands from the Middle East, I'd love to know about them. I know there is a group of sisters from Indonesia, I believe, that are a pretty good metal band.

    @mjk2323 hey hi. Of course there are @holes everywhere. I said many times in the video that metalheads are like everyone else in the world have all kinds of people. Its just a discussion. In the middle east there is this huge amount of taboos about many issues, but metal doesnt happen to come from here. Im not very updated about the bands in the middle east, but from my generation there is Nervecell, Bilocate and my band The Hourglass. Side note some of the comments here are assuming i am muslim (because they would like to have a certain prejudice and profiling for other people) and got offended by the video and "fix your own house before judging others". You had also gave me the arabic/islamic salute which is a nice gesture. But i wasnt born as a Muslim, because you know Jesus was a middle eastern man, not a European, who was born and lived and died in the middle east. (Im agnostic now) Cheers

    I feel like this is worse in particular subgenres as well. Thrash and grindcore in particular. Not like it doesn't happen elsewhere but I feel like bands that try to be offensive on purpose usually attract those kind of abrasive people. Napalm Death wrote a song because they were sick of these idiots. You dont see them in "softer" things like prog they are too emasculated by hearing actual vocal performances instead of just angry yelling and pig squealing. I love thrash and death metal but we definitely have a culture problem. No reason to quit I say that is the spirit of metal is to stick it to the man, but if you're not having fun because of that garbage then I totally understand. May your riffs be brutal.

  • @ChristianGeer
    @ChristianGeer17 күн бұрын

    Also even though its a small thing I think its weird to ask for a guitar pick that is still somebody else's property, if they choose to flick it your way that's one thing but asking is weird and I would never ask for something like that. It is kind of a weird thing to do after a show and could be interpreted as showing entitlement even if you don't mean it that way.

  • @Rudimessiah
    @Rudimessiah17 күн бұрын

    @ChristianGeer thanks for the lengthy comment. I dont think i agree with you on many points. In the video at the end i was asking questions, and i said in several points that metalheads like everyone else in the world have all kinds of people. So i dont think the problem is in thrash or death ...or in any kind of general view. Metal has become a global phenomenon but it originated in certain parts of the world, and i think humans have a long way still to understand each other. And another thing is that musically metal is very masculine, and in a way you feel obligated to always show signs of power, which creates other kinds of issues. I dont see ANY problem in a fan waiting for the bus for an hour to ask for a guitar pick. Its not like they have 5 picks there is tons of them to give away. Besides, all was smooth until i said where i am from. Anyway shit like this always happens everywhere. We are just having a discussion here. But some people choose to get offended

  • @ChristianGeer
    @ChristianGeer16 күн бұрын

    @@Rudimessiah i didnt say the problem is in one place but if you listen to bands like "Meat Sh**s" you'll see exactly the kind of dumb crap I'm talking about. Edgelord grindcore kids are definitely predisposed to bigoted garbage. I think it comes with the territory when your fans appreciate the music for being offensive. As much as I love slam and grindcore there is BS you have to deal with at those shows that just isn't present at Opeth or Death to All, or Between the Buried and Me, or Gojira. Mostly due to the type of people attending. It doesn't make the scene bad we just need to do a better job shutting that garbage down at shows. The same way you would if someone is being a jerk in the pit ot crowd killing. A lot of the shows I go to you would not be accepted if you start spouting bigoted crap. Not just the bands but the crowd isnt ok with it. These shows are in a pretty progressive area though so that might be part of it. Our grindcore shows in the small conservative town near me? Yeah not so much there is some truly racist garbage I dont want to participate in happenning there. In the US its a bit different as we had a whole "nazi punk" movement where there was a lot of crossover between thrash and hardcore punk being played by bigoted losers. I think some of that carries into the modern metal scene here. Echoes of the past.

    Metalheads are pretty chill bit of coursw they have a preference for metal. As for the pick story, he probably just had a problem with iffering something then being asked for more. The way it was phrased could be interpreted as... "What? Only an autograph? I came all this way! The least you could do it give me something" As for the other virtue signals about "misogyny and homophobia"... You're from [country that speaks Arabic ] So there's targets far cloaer to home. Yeah, plenty of metal bands speak English... And Swedish... And then you have bands like Tenger Cavalry who have a Mongolian throat singer as a vocalist, Scarab, who sing in Hindi or Dir En Grey, who sing in Japanese... Most bands want to reach the widest demographic and are influenced by the OG metal bands. This is a nitpicky video, and the metal community has less patience for people wagging fingers at them... Especially since they've seen moralizing busybodies suck all the fun out of other communities with their constantant complaining and blaming

So your whole undertone is "you are an Arab and you want to preach us about Homophobia ...etc solve your own problems before talking". Not to mention that in the video i criticized myself as a person several times. Oh stop it. The last thing anyone who listens to metal wants to hear about is more people bitching and crying about “bigotry” as it’s not only a non issue but most of the time these days people completely misuse the term bigotry for people who merely have a different opinion or set of beliefs than whatever is currently popular and what the fake media is trying to shove down everyone’s throats. Racism exists within all races but you never hear white folks crying about it. It’s typical black people Who cry the most and who are also ironically the most racist. Homophobia is not a real thing. No one on planet Earth has a phobia of homosexuals. There are merely people who disagree with homosexuality and do not approve of it, which does not meet the definition of “phobia” unfortunately Sexism in America doesn’t really exist. If you want to talk about sexism, then go preach to muslims and other Arab nations as that is where the REAL sexism is happening. Not in America or other western countries

    Stop crying. You are the least metal thing I have ever seen.

    Thank you cuz this video is talking about you. I have composed several metal albums and was part of a wave in a region where metal is frowned upon...what did you do? Oh just remembered you are another loser typing from his mom's basement.

    Recently reading an online review of $5-7k mountain bike they deleted the physical cable routing for the rear derailleur, Bluetooth shifting only…a 50 something dude commented he liked Bluetooth shifting but wanted both options…there were at least a dozen comments insulting or attacking him for wanting both options…digital tech is having some significant and nonsensical affects on humans born in the digital age regardless of area of interest….

    I think it has to do also with respect. Social media is the biggest bullying and disrespect tool.

    These guys are true artists and musicians who love music and always were humble in greatness. I had the pleasure of meeting them and seeing them live several times. There was no divide between them and their fans, ever ❤.

    I know that Kiko was Great in Megadeth just like every other guitar player will be but Kiko left us conquer or die most definitely the best instrumental 🎸 so far on a Megadeth album besides into the lungs of hell 🎸
