I get the idea, but as an rf engineer I must take exception with a few things. First, the feed line used to the wifi antennas is from earbuds? Not going to work at 2.4 or 5ghz. 2nd, the dish is meant for good gain on ku band, not so good for 2.4. 3rd, all the feedline loss up to the dish will more than negate any gain. Sorry

Most of these home made antennas won’t pick and satellite channel only analog channels . I have seen a lot of them claim it but I never see it.

The push for digital tv was two fold, first analog TV's were becoming antique and all TV's in the future would be digital, the people who didn't want to buy a new tv xould buy an digital to analog converter box and get even more channels, the entity at the top of that food chain made a grip of cash at $50 each for the DA box. After telling my cable company to fuck off when my wife asked me for 200 dollars to pay rhe cable bill i was pissed, i had a contract with that company for basic cable and internet at $35 dollars a month for life, i had no idea that my wife had been paying $200 dollars a month for the past two years, the only reason i found out about the increase was because in that two year time my wife was short of money, the cable company did not want to honor my contract or reimburse me for the oversight, so fuck off they did, nobody should pay that much for internet and basic cable, our government has left the building to cash their fat checks and will not return, fuck them too for not regulating these crooks.

When I was 10 years old, I did not have a 90's TV dish. I saw a neighbour's antenna and thought that the dish was damaged. I cut the cable wire and took out the copper wire from it and made small circles from it. I also brought an aluminium wire which was for power supply, I cut that wire... I connected circles of copper wire to it. I hung it on the wall behind the TV...but did not make any wire connection to the TV.. A few days later when it rained, that same TV and the channels of the neighbour's TV started coming automatically. My childhood memories are the best on my TV. free tv
