  my brother is a commercial freight pilot. lately a lot of flights get GPS-spoofed and become unable control. luckily my brother could manually enter the coordinates and override the systems, but for a few minutes the plane was unresponsive and was controlled by a third party. he was underway from johannesburg via jemen to amsterdam. we think this is 'practice' for a new kind of warfare. this is a terrifying idea. even the de-icing systems on the wings were shut down so that the flaps didn't work...

  Dude in article comment section said it only breaks down the flimsy plastics that can already be broken down with chemicals. This sounds good, but that plastic looks a little flimsy...If it leads to more enzymes that recover the oil from thick plastic products, that would be great too. Something in nature eats oil because many go rancid or oxidize. Something has gotta be possible to isolate for that.

  This is a Grey Goo scenario coming out of science fiction about the perils of nanotechnology. You mess with micro organisms like that, and if they find a way to multiply uncontrollably, you end up with a planet where every plastics based structure will be eroded leading to deaths of millions in the process, not to mention total global catastrophe. I hope the geniuses at the fringe of technology think carefully before messing with self multiplying micro organisms. Didn't these people learn anything from 2020? We have absolutely no control over self multiplying things we can't see.
