  Hello 2013 bmw 335i driver door won’t let me out… won’t unlock at times. I was told it’s a Saftey feature and I can unlock it by shifting the gear stick up twice. But that didn’t t work?

  Yeah, but why does it have a line through it when it's on? That should be when it's turned off. Do you think I can turn it off forever if I get Bimmercode? Or does it have to be a BMW dealer? Cheers

  I bought a 2nd hand x5m. Would you know how i can reset the key to what settings i would like? Every time i turn the car the ac comes on and and it adjusted to the previous owners settings

  For my 2011 model I downloaded the update and plugged in the USB, but got a message: "Software on USB device is not recent". I've tried it with both the downloaded package itself, and I've also tried by extracting all the bin files separately (there's a lot of them). I've haven't seen this message on any other forum. Has anyone come across this? Any tips?

  Can anybody tell me if I plug my I3 on the charger at 9pm and have it set on low charge between 11pm to 7am, is it not going to start charging my car until 11pm?

  My husband just got upset at me because I set the lights to auto 🤦🏻‍♀️😆 he said they came on when he turned the car (he was in the garage which is why they came on in auto). He won’t admit I’m right to leave them on auto. Exhausting

  We set a low cost charge to start at 9pm and end at 4am. Double checked to make sure that the car and the app were in sync and low cost charge option was checked. Just as soon as we plugged the car in roughly 5pm, the car started to immediately charge. I also set a random departure time of 8am. After trying all sorts of combinations without any luck, I called BMW tech support. They advised that the car will only start and stop within the pre-set time parameters if the car is able to achieve a 100% within that window. That makes no sense to me. The reason for setting the charge time on and off is not only to take advantage of lower cost charging, but to keep the final charge at below 100%. I don't think the tech person I spoke to has is right. Final question what do we have to program in oder to have the car start and stop, even if it means not getting to 100% state of charge

  Great channel.. Question regarding preconditioning the battery. We moved our i3 from San Mateo to Palm Springs. During the winter months the mornings can be cold, so setting a preconditioning time for warming the battery is advantages for battery efficiency. When summer comes around in PS and mornings can still be very warm, should we be turning off the preconditioning feature? Is the car smart enough not to allow the preconditioning feature to overheat the battery when the ambient temperature is high? We are very new to this car, and are trying to learn as we go along Any thoughts on chargers / recommendations such as the Schumacher SC1455 110/240 v charger? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  The preconditioning feature can also help to cool the battery too, the warmer battery won’t be so detrimental to range like cold but keeping the battery on the cooler side will help with the longevity of the battery. So the system is designed to be smart in the sense it wants to keep your battery at an optimal temp for the battery health/range. Also be aware if your using level 1 charger that you will likely not get the full benefits of preconditioning like you would with level 2 charging. I don’t know about all the available chargers, so I don’t want to steer you wrong there. You could probably find an i3 owners forum and see what the word on the street is though. Best of luck!
