  Hi @yammomatta I don't think so because we usually apply e-visas for USA students, and the US passport has 9 digits. Could you please check your passport number again?

  Hi. I have my child travel with me. I know in the form, there's a section for children under 14 years old. After I put in my kid's name/gender/date of birth, 2 photos...do I need another separate form for my child? my child is 11 and has their own passport. Or the information included in the form for myself is sufficient. When I pay, I should pay $50, instead of $25? Thank you.

  Hi @hanhbui9329, Thank you for your question. If your child has a separate passport, please apply for their eVisa as you would for an adult. Only fill out the section for children under 14 years old if their information is attached to your passport.

  Hi @nik1997os, You should apply for your eVisa one month before departure because sometimes there are issues with the evisa system, which can cause your evisa result to be released later than usual.

  Hi Reni, Thank you for your question. To locate your surname and given name, please refer to the ICAO line at the bottom of the information passport page. You will find them separated by "<<" symbols.

  I applied e-visa here in China to Vietnam it’s been about 2 weeks and I’ve still not gotten a reply after I was told to amend my address twice which I did. Firstly I used a hotel I had booked address. They then wrote to me saying I should amend it so I asked for a friend’s address and used that. They then wrote to me asking I amend the address again. Even the 3rd time I decided not to amend but use the same address as in the 2nd . It’s past 1 week and each time I check for my visa status, they’ve written “in process”. I’m very confused 😢

  Hello, sorry for our late response. If you receive the request for amending from Vietnam Immigration Department, the processing time will be the same as for a new submission, starting from the date you update your new information

  Hi there, about your question, entering Vietnam will require visa (in this case, e-visa) for foreigners that are not Vietnamese citizens. You can double check whether your nationality is exempt from playing for a visa, too. And you must have a visa before going to/arriving in Vietnam. Hope this helps!

  Hopefully this one works. Applied 6 months ago with their old site (looks like something a child would create) and was not denied, but also was never approved. After many attempts to resolve the issue I eventually went to Thailand and had a nice holiday. I'm not sure Vietnam wants foreigners in there country anymore.

  I’m traveling with my 12 year son to Vietnam. Do I need to apply a separate visa for him? When I proceeded to pay with the visa, somehow it consistently failed. I went back to the site and kept trying to pay but no success. The error message wants me to reapply. I saw people from other channels experiencing the same issue and warned not to keep on clicking the payment. What’s your recommendation?

  Hi @gchow6009, If your child has their own passport, please apply separately. If your child has the same passport as you, please apply together. You should use visa/master card to pay. In case of payment error, let's apply again. Hope it works for you and have a nice day!

  Hi, I just applied for the evisa and have been denied 3 times now. The Denied reason: incorrect full name (as in ICAO line) My passport photo is jpeg format and it’s perfectly clear and everything is readable. Why is it keep being denied for the same reason? Help! Thank you 🙏

  How long does it take for the payment to be processed? Submitted the application and got confirmation that it was successful. But when submitting the payment, got to a page that said “orders are being processed for payment. Please complete payment in that turn or come back to create new order. When check the status of the visa, it said unpaid application but when tried to submit payment it says “order is paid successfully/paid failed or in processing….I checked my credit card but no payment has been taken yet (it has been over 24 hours)

  Hi, So sorry about the late response. Please check your visa/ master card which is an international card or not, and then if your payment failed, please refill evisa form evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/khai-thi-thuc-dien-tu/cap-thi-thuc-dien-tu and submit payment again. Because normally the payment will be charged immediately.

  e-visa now asks separately for 'SURNAME' and then in a separate section 'GIVEN NAME' which is different to this video. I entered the correct information in each of the two name sections and visa application was rejected. Please update the video with instructions including this change as filling in my surname in the 'SURNAME' section and my given names in the 'GIVEN NAME' sections as per my passport and e-visa application was rejected??

  Good day Ken, Do all these new rules apply if you are only visiting say for 2 weeks on a basic holiday. Too much information especially where you work. What happens if you are unemployed, Vietnamese authority might refuse entry just because you are unemployed. Great information as per usual. Then I amended it by updating Surname :Varshney Shubham and Given name : Shubham , which rejected again today and asked me to amend it..
