Man what are they doing with these older wrestlers? They are loosing every PPV. For example: AJ - Royal Rumble Loss AJ - WrestleMania Loss AJ - Backlash Loss Randy - Royal Rumble Loss Randy - Elimination Chamber Loss Randy - WrestleMania Loss Randy - Backlash Loss Cena - WrestleMania Loss (2022) Cena - Crown Jewel Loss Cena hasn’t won any singles match + PPV since 2018.

I remember on the Draft edition of Raw when R-Truth and Gable were making a deal for Otis and Tozawa to get a world tag titles shot Truth mentioned to the Miz “We do one now, and two later.” Of course, Otis and Tozawa lost that night. Do you think the “two later” could be a second match between Awesome Truth and Otis and Tozawa, in which Otis and Tozawa lose again, and then the third match could be the Creed Brothers turning heel by beating Awesome Truth for the world tag titles and joining forces with Gable? Do you think this is a possibility or am I overthinking it?

    1. What's up GSM? Hope all is well. Do you prefer a Backlash France crowd more a Backlash Puerto Rico crowd more. Were taking dead crowds off the table. This is about two different type of good crowds. I prefer the Puerto Rico crowd more just because I can find the singing crowds a little more distraction. Sometimes they can take me out of what is going on. Again, just look at good crowd vs. good crowd. 2. Just now starting to get back into AEW. I saw Dynasty and it was awesome. Right now my favorite thing on the show right now is actually the Orange Cassidy/Trent Beretta stuff. I stopped watching right after the Full Gear where Adam Page won. What would be some of the best things to go back and take a look at since then. I only stopped watching because I fell super behind and at one point was so behind that I just gave up.

Would like to get into AEW I just don't know where to start. What are the championships? Is the roster spilt? What's the difference between AEW collision, rampage, Dynamite? Are there separate champions for each show? Which show is better? What's AEW dark? Is tht still a thing? Do other companies mix with AEW? If so are the other companies championships defended on AEW? Just would like a summary if you can

Last week you mentioned Star Wars, and on Saturday was the annual May the Fourth Be With You festival on TBS all weekend. I was fortunate enough to see three Star Wars movies in theatres-on opening days mind you- in my lifetime (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones & The Force Awakens), and I can honestly say seeing a Star Wars film is different from other cinematic experiences. How would you rank the Star Wars series from worst to best? For me Attack of the Clones is the worst and The Empire Strikes Back is the best and my favorite of all the Star Wars movies. What would be your picks from best to worst?

WWE released 12 people this week, mostly the NXT roster. While some were just there, two signings that were significant were the releases of Drew Gulak and Gable Steveson. Gulak had been with the company for 8 years, and while not a star, he was an able hand who could elevate an opponent to a quality match, and while I'm someone who is disappointed in the booking of the No Quarter Catch Crew, I will say he was the right guy to lead a developmental heel stable. Gable Steveson, on the other hand, is a cautionary tale of what happens when a company puts too much stock in a person who was all hype, no substance. He debuted at Wrestlemania 38 and had a nice albeit hollow moment of him suplexing Chad Gable. Then, a month later, he gets drafted to the RAW brand despite him not having one match on the main roster or the company as a whole. He did a whole lot of nothing for a year and then when he finally debuted on the NXT brand, he cut a robotic promo and had an awful segment with Baron Corbin that set up their disaster of a match at the Great American Bash, where he was booed out of the state of Texas the whole match. In conclusion he was all hype and in the end he proved he didn't have what it takes to make it as a pro wrestler, despite them trying to make him the next Kurt Angle. What are your thoughts on both releases?

Ethan Page was recently released from Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling, and since has gone on sort of a rampage where he basically put a shoot promo on how he was the highest seller on Ringside Collectibles over guys like Samoa Joe, MJF & Chris Jericho, and yet he hasn't been on AEW TV since, instead being opted to ROH. How do you feel about this situation, what are your thoughts on his AEW run, and do you think maybe he rebounds back to TNA and teams again with Josh Alexander or will he head over to the WWE when his 90 day no compete is up?

#AskGSM: Hiya Graham, hope your week is going swell and you're doing good yourself. I see and hear a lot of people use the term "cooking" or "cook" a lot on social media and on podcasts/ video reviews, especially in WWE videos. I personally find it cringeworthy and lame. If they want something to cook, go to an Outback Steakhouse. When do you think the slang term was starting to be used and what's your opinion of the word being used so much?

What's up GSM, hope all is well? 1. Do you think the hate for the the draft this past week was overblown? I agree with a lot of people that the shows weren't great, but I personally think the drafts were just fine. You can't do a total shakeup of the shows without each brand losing their identities and completely overhauling all of the stories they are telling. Besides that, its just a false statement objectively to say nothing has changed. Raw got three new FACTIONS, which alone add about 15 new people to the show. They got big time call ups from NXT and two steals for big time up and coming acts in the New Catch Republic and Bron Breaker. Also a returning Braun Strowman who will probably come off as more fresh than he has been. Not to mention how much they improved their women's division. Smackdown definitely got the short end of the stick. Carmelo Hayes is definitely a good pick up, but the bottom of their singles midcard looks bad. With guys like Shinsuke, Corbin, Vinci, Andrade, and Apollo Crews, they come up much shorter than the stacked men's pool on Raw. However, someone from this group is going to have be successful by default. I still remember how good Vinci was during the cruiserweight classic, even though that was 8 years ago. If he can go back to doing that as a heavyweight singles guy, he has potential to become compelling. And the women that they did get all at least have something going on right now. Every woman in that division gets TV time close to every week and can have a path towards getting over even if they aren't at that level yet. Plus A-Town Down, DIY, Pretty Deadly, Street Profits, Legado, Orton and KO, different Bloodline combinations, and possibly even a revamped OC can make for a decent tag division. I think the biggest thing you can blame WWE for was the shows themselves being boring, but not the actual draft. Agree or disagree? 2. A lot of talk for how bad Def Rebel songs are. Can you name two of your favorites though and also 2 favorite CFOs and 2 favorite Jim Johnstons? 3. I heard someone say this week that WM40 was Endgame and WM39 is Infinity War. If so, does that make Iron Man (the movie) Survivor Series 2012? If not what would be the right comparison for Iron Man? Do you even agree at all with the analogy in the first place? Thanks!

Jared (Sherri's son) was a friend of mine of FB & I can confirm way before Dark Side Of The Ring episode, Jared had a bout of cancer. Bobby Heenan had cancer in the throat & mouth which you can see in his final days on KZread interviews & Jared is resembling similar traits, so it's not cocaine related. One POSITIVE thing about Jared is, he used to be a cook/chef & always posted really cool pictures of the meals he made on FB.

After watching those two dull as dishwater drafts shows, I feel the draft has become a running gag at this point that's been beaten to the ground like a dead horse. My biggest problem is that, despite them hyping up the shows like they are gonna shake the foundation of the WWE, very little changes were made and very few switches to different shows were done, despite some logical picks and the RAW side getting a boost in Women's talent. Every year I ask what's the point of this if 1. Barely anyone is going to change shows, and 2. Even if the draftees are on one show, there's no guarantee they will not remain on the show, and instead appear on the blue brand when they are RAW, and RAW when they are inclusive to Smackdown. Do you think they should at least try to make the draft somewhat interesting or worth investing in or are people getting their hopes up over something the company will never change?

I look at the NXT roster, and unfortunately I really only see a roster of mostly fantastic athletes but not very good or believable characters. Yes Ilja had a good character, Trick Williams is a good character and so is, imho, the women putting on the best character work in the brand right now Tatum Paxley, but when you really look at the roster, there are not a lot of enjoyable or believable characters to invest our emotions into. Tony D'angelo flip flops so much between heel and face that it's impossible to figure out how to feel towards them, characters just do random crap during vignettes or segments backstage and some try to play characters and gimmicks, but fail to bring any believability to the part, like Roxanne Perez as a heel, . My question is, do you think NXT struggles with creating good or consistent characters, especially since it's considered the developmental brand?

What has been your favorite episode of Dark Side of the Ring episode this season? I still can't forget what the hell I saw with the Buff Bagwell episode, I walked away from the Brutus Beefcake episode very much liking Brutus as a person, I like how Harley Race's episode shows how truly tough he was but also how dangerous living his lifestyle can be and the episode last week made me respect Sherri Martel's work even more as a fan. What would be your favorite episode or episodes?

First question . Is there a gimmick you thought of and have always wanted to see a wrestler do that hasn’t been done yet? Could be anything. Personality , attire, moveset. For example I always thought about a wrestler that had a finisher where he would copy the opponents finishing move. Also wear a small piece of is opponents’ attire. I used to think it would be cool before, not as much now but still, Anything come to mind? Second question , With Maven blowing up with amazing content. Will you try to have him for an interview and what would be 2 questions you 100 percent would ask him knowing how open he is about discussing any topic.

    1. Do Def Rebel get more hate than they deserve for the theme songs they put out? Sure they’re not perfect, I particularly don’t like how whenever someone turns heel they’ll just remix their old theme instead of giving them something new, but they do have some great bangers, Roman’s, LA Knight’s and Solo Sikoa’s songs just to name a few, yet they seem to be met with near universal contempt from fans. 2. Even though most parties came of poorly in the footage of the brawl between Punk and Perry but did you get a laugh out of Hook’s reaction or lack thereof to the brawl, seems to be very in line with his character on tv.

Jim Cornette is seen by many as a complicated personality in the pro wrestling business. He is a man of untouchable knowledge about the history of the sport and is seen by many as one of the greatest managers in the history of the business, but his views of pro wrestling and the modernity of the sport has made him an island of his own. He has worked with multiple companies and in the end he usually gets fired, he has a humorous albeit sad feud with one of the most hated men in pro wrestling Vince Russo that got serious when he threatened assault and his views of pretty much everything AEW are usually met with enthusiasm by the Cult of Cornette, but ridicule and malaise by pro wrestling fans. In your honest opinion, what are your thoughts of Jim Cornette and do you think he's polarizing or are people misunderstanding his views and instead bash him for, what they feel, are out of touch ideals that fit a different time period?

On the topic of All Elite Wrestling, Hook has been said to be testing the free agency waters when his contract is up, and there are some who are willing to see how high he can jump if he signs with WWE where he will go to the NXT brand. While it could be intriguing to see, I feel that, even though they have an actual performance center, I feel Shawn Michaels wouldn't completely get Hook and change everything that made him cool to begin with, even maybe going as far as taking his Action Bronson song from him. What do you think?
